“vacation rental with great ski-in location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This is our 2nd time renting a unit here. It is more of a vacation unit rental than a hotel so don't think of it as a hotel at all. Both times, we have had a unit in the 2nd building closer to the ski-in trail. I understand previous reviews about noisy student tours since one was in full swing in the 1st building when we checked in although the staff said we would have a more quiet time in the 2nd building.

Both times, we had a one bedroom unit. The full kitchen was adequately equipped. One disappointment was that the gas fireplace could not be used due to "insurance reasons". We were advised of the fireplace not working before we arrived but had hoped it would be resolved before then. Unfortunately, the fireplace was not operational still - insurance or safety issue? Still unknown what the story is here.

The mattress was comfortable. The decor in keeping with Old Quebec was good and there were nice little touches in a tribute to the Voyageurs like the towel racks and lamp shades reflecting that. We had daily maid service that was good.

I did try the outside hot tub last year and it was fine. I'm not a big fan of public hot tubs so I will not comment further. There is a small exercise room and a sauna.

The biggest appeal of this place is its placement in the village. You can walk a few 100' down to the Cabriolet to ride up to the village Base. We loved the ski trail back to the building at the end of the day; take off the skis/snowboard & the building's entrance is feet away. To reiterate - this is a rental unit, NOT a hotel. If you want room service or 24/7 service, go elsewhere. We wanted something that was more of an "apartment" to stay at so it served us well. We have stayed at other places in Mt. Tremblant (see other review) but found this to be the best for enjoying ski/ski out while enjoying a "home" accomodation. Note - we booked early for a time not in peak season so we felt it was good value since we got a better deal.

Room Tip: 2nd building for quieter times

“Great Location, but lots of 'out of order' signs.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Stayed 4 nights, the location is fantastic at the foot of the pedestrian village. Unfortuately the weekend we were there there was a 'campus vacation' tour so hunfreds of loud, rudy, scantily clad and extremely annoying teenagers. They made a mess of the jacuzzi area and the hotel in general. After they left it was nice and peaceful. We were in a 2 bedroom- it was great for 6 adults to share. Great shared living room area and kitchen. Except- fireplace didnt work. Oven didnt work, the stove top had an anti boil mechanise, it was impossible to cook meals. there was very little lighting in the rooms- and then bulbs blew which didnt help when they werent replaced. we were taking the lightshades off the bulbs to make it brighter. the vending machines didnt work, then the jacuzzi was closed for maintenance after the university students left, so that was a real dissapointment. the sauna was out of order also, as well as a number of the exercise equipment machines.

Nice friendly staff though, housekeeping was fine.
i would stay again but i would make sure we had an oven/stovetop that works as it was awful not being able to cook food properly. Especially when the restaurants are all pretty pricey, and they close early on weeknights.

“More a 3 star than a 4 star but nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

The location is great, the room itself is nice. We had a queen size murphy bed with a nice kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, sink, plates, utensiles etc...). Indoor parking is also available.
The hot tube was not working while we were there, the cleaning staff did not make the bed but they did empty the trash and leave clean towels. The walls are paper thin as we could hear the conversations in our neighbors' rooms. It is one of the cheapest hotels in the village so you can't expect too much. It satisfied our needs.

Room Tip: We were in Tour II and it seems we were closer to the cabriolet and the building was quiet.

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Great place to stay if you are looking to stay in the pedestrian village but yet away from the skiers! a cafe shop is right in the hotel that serves all day breakfast & yummy croissant!
We stayed 2 nights during the Christmas holidays & the place was packed with younger& single skiers/snow boarders! late night party was inevitable, we were in a one bedroom condo on the third floor, so the noise level was not an issue. Overall, our stay was a pleasant one!

Room Tip: Try to upgrade to a one bedroom suite for an extra of $30 per night, it's well worth the $$$

“My second visit made up for my first!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

When I first stayed in the hotel, I wasn't that impressed with the amenities. Fortunately, my second visit to the hotel made me want to go back there. We experienced some difficulties when we first arrived (not getting a non-smoking room--make sure you specifically request one even if the booking agent doesn't ask if you want one), but the staff at the hotel was absolutely phenomenal--they made this stay even better than our first. This time we stayed in a spacious room with a kitchenette, a fireplace, and a gorgeous view onto the lake and the pool. It made all the difference, as did the fact that they found us a non-smoking room. I was so happy with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, not to mention the fantastic room, that when I come back I'll stay at this hotel again. Hopefully, we'll have good luck with our rooms on our future visits!

Room Tip: Specifically request a non-smoking room to avoid confusion.
