Stayed here with friends for a weekend. It was your standard, average hotel. The room was comfortable, and clean. 'But it's the little things that disappointed me. For example, to rent a movie off of the hotel's Rent-A-Movie page, was 16 bucks. 16 dollars to rent a movie! You can own a copy for yourself for that price, or go to the cinema twice... Not that I was going to rent one, but if you had kids, I can see how that would be a pain in the butt.

Also the hotel didn't have free wi-fi. Now for 180 dollars, you'd think they'd throw in wi-fi, but you had to pay for it as you go, and it was probably 2 dollars a minute or something ridiculous. I know it's not a big deal to most, but for young people it is. It is a relatively free technology, but instead they'd rather milk it for all the pennies they can get.

One thing I was pleased about was breakfast. It was a splendid, and generous continental buffet breakfast. Definitely racked in a few points for this hotel.

The clerk at the front desk in the morning was kind of moody.

All in all, this is an average hotel, you get nothing more, and you get nothing less.

The snowboarding in Mont Tremblant is very good with many different trails to conquer. The hotels are all close to the cable car or chair lifts. We really enjoyed our stay in Mont Tremblant, however, the place is very expensive to purchase anything. The Country Inn & Suites, Mont Tremblant is a very nice place with very good sized rooms (normal room review - there are two storey suites also available) with small kitchen area containing fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. The rooms are very comfortable. During the week (Sunday to Thursday) the hotel is very quiet, however on a Friday and Saturday evenings the noise level in opposing rooms and corridors of the hotel can become too much. The hotel staff seemed to recognize that this was going to happen and did little to rectify the problem. We were told that this happens due to the drinking age limit in Canada being 18 rather than 21 in the USA therefore many Americans cross the border and stay at the hotel (as it is one of the cheaper accommodation venues in Mont Tremblant. This was the only problem that we had at the hotel in our 7 night stay. I would stay at this hotel again, however, I would be better prepared for the weekend Americans next time.

First the bad stuff...

I stayed at this hotel along with my wife and two teenaged sons and another couple and their two teenaged sons. We were booked for four nights. Each family had a one bedroom suite with a pull-out couch. The rooms were booked well ahead and were supposed to be beside one another. Upon arrival, we learned the rooms not only weren't beside one another, they weren't even on the same floor. The front desk staff advised that unfortunately, they would not be able to locate us any closer together. Because we had planned our meals together, this made our stay inconvenient to say the least.

There was a breakfast included with the room price which included "make your own waffles." Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have any maple syrup to put on the waffles. The lone staff member was litterally running trying to keep up to the numerous people moving through the breakfast. She was simply overwelmed and needed help and as a result, the buffet kept running out of food. They need more staff in the breakfast area.

Due to insurance reasons, there are no fire places in working condition anywhere in the hotel. This really sucked on cold winter evenings and something we were really looked forward to on our stay.

Any time after 4:00 p.m. that you went to the hot tub, there were no clean towels left. Again, I think if they had more staff, they could keep up with this stuff better.

We asked for a fold down cott for our room but again, there weren't any left. Ditto for pillows.

Now to the good stuff...

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well appointed. They are getting a little dated but nothing too bad...yet.

The hot tub was nice and hot and reasonably clean.

The location is great, close to everything and nice views up the village and mountain.

The bottom line...

Would I stay again. Possibly. I will wait a while until they get the fire places fixed and maybe in the meantime, they will address some of the other issues.

My girlfriend and I took the book before Dec13 special and stayed there from 24th-27th. The location is easily accessible by all means. Underground parking is $10 a day. Internet is free if you join the Club Carlson. It’s not the greatest connection especially if it’s shared by multiple devices. We are not skiers but enjoyed the spectacular scenic routes on our way there and during our stays. Tubing is free after 6pm but I am sure most people there are for the ski hills. Please research a little before you get there for your food selections. There are some nice finds in the area. I personally recommend the gloutonne from Smoke’s Poutine and the crepes from Creperie Catherine, both are within walking distance from Carlson. Diable is the place to be for some micro brews.There are deals from Groupon and similar sites which offer great discounts during off seasons. Paying a visit there during summer/fall seasons would definitely bring a totally different experience. This is a place to be all year round.
