After reading some of the poor reviews of this property, it is best to put things into perspective. First of all, it is a very nice Condo. It would be stretching it to describe the location as a Resort. RCI looks foolish listing this property as a Gold Crown Resort. It does not come even close to comparing to the Gold Crowns we've stayed in Mexico. It equates to Fairfield Sapphire Valley or Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head. As a condo, we found everything to be satisfactory. The bedding and furniture were fine. The kitchen is small, but my wife had no problem preparing over a dozen excellent meals. Heat and hot water were very responsive--great place to take hot baths. It might say it is for 3-4 people, but more than a couple is pushing it. The table, with the leaf out, sits 3. Some condos and some Chalets have very nice views. Call the resort one week prior to get a good view of either the ski mountain or the river/city of Beaupre. For the river view, consider Chalets 8-20 and for the mountain view consider condos buildings 1300-1500, 2100, 2300, and 2600. We were in a middle floor condo, so the deck, with the table/chairs, was the same as the landing into the unit. There is a very nice IGA grocery store several miles away in Beaupre. We drove into Quebec once/parked with Manuel's help and then followed up with a tour from the Condo with the nice assistance of the concierge. Visits to the copper factory/showroom and honey bee museum were well worth it. One must not miss the Basilica St Anne du Pre. Museum du Fort in Quebec was great for understanding the battles of Quebec. The stairs down to the lower level in Quebec are relatively easy and saves $4 each way on the Funicular. We went on daily walks through the residential neighborhood down the street from the chalets. The small 19" TV had the major US networks and the DVD player worked fine. Video rentals are $3, but we strongly disagree with the $10/day charge to use the Internet in the lodge. Pool was cold and unused; tennis court was locked. There is no surface to store anything except the small 2 x 1 1/2 kitchen work surface, the dinette table and the top of the dresser in the BR. There was a total of 8 hangars in the closet.
All in all, it was a great location with plenty to do. This location is an adequate Condo and should not be advertised as a Resort.
