I rented a two bedroom two bath apartment. When I arrived, on Friday night, a note stated that one of the bathrooms was out of order. The next day I went to the office to get details. The staff said that it would be fix as soon as possible. Being that it was a Labor Day weekend, they would get to it on Tuesday. They had Friday to make plans on how to fix the problem. However, nothing was ever accomplished while two families endured with one bathroom. The management never return messages nor did they initiate any messages.
Upon our arrival we walked through the apartment. We found food on the balcony rail and the balcony was dirty. Inside stair steps were dangerously loose. This they did attempt to repair, but nailed them in such a manner as to still be dangerous. They didn't really look at the problem. They found loose stairs and nailed the tread so that they wouldn't move, but they still sloped downward.

Unfortunately, while this place is in a good location for travel to Quebec or Eastward, I wouldn't recommend staying there.
I booked this through RCI and found their response to be about as bad as the vacation property manager; "Sorry, you should have called us immediately." I didn't have any info to tell me where to call or when. I did ask the property management to call RCI the day after our arrival and they wouldn't do it.

OK - so there are alot of not so great reviews that made me very skeptical of our stay at Club Vacances Toutes Saisons. What you need to do is put things in perspective if you are planning a visit in the summer: you are staying at a place that is primarily a ski resort housing. If you are a skiier, you will know what I mean. Things are usually a bit "rougher" in housing for skiiers. This is not like a 4-5 star resort in Mexico with all of the amenties, bells and whistles, so don't expect it.

Our unit was a 2 bedroom with a loft and very spacious. Furnishings were suitable and the unit was clean, beds compfortable and there were regular pillows (not pieces of foam rubber that someone noted), etc. It does NOT have airconditioning but this was not an issue for us as there was only one day that was warmer where we would have used it. Fans are provided to take the edge off for days like that. It was really nice to have the windows open and enjoy the fresh air. I was informed that they are starting to renovate units and add air conditioning; this begins in the fall of 2011 and will take 18 months to complete. But again, not an issue for us.

As far as internet, we left all of our electronics at home on purpose. There is a $50 fee for the week if you need it. We were on vacation to enjoy Canada and all it has to offer, not continue the electronic addiction we are all so dependent on. You will definately notice that the Canadiens are not midlessly texting and chatting on cell phones constantly - big difference from the US.

We used the pool and tennis courts and they were clean with suitable chairs/lounges at the pool. Did not go to the restaurant so I can't comment on that. The Concierge was very helpful in booking us on a whale watching adventure on a Zodiac boat with AML (company name that we used).

Beaupre is a great location - we visited Quebec City two days, went whitewater rafting with New Wave Expeditions which I HIGHLY recommend on the Jacques Cartier river - awesome adventure. Also enjoyed the international fireworks competition at Montemorency Falls just outside QC.

If you enjoy the feel of France, shopping, good food and art galleries you must visit Baie St. Paul about an hour north of Beaupre (we stopped there on our way to whale watching in Baie St. Catherine). Loved it! You can also kayak, etc. out of here too. A beautiful seaside town. If you are in the mood for ice cream, visit the shop in the main shopping area and get the maple chocolate dipped cone - to die for!

St. Anne Basilica is a must see, even if you aren't a church goer. The church is just spectacular with a good karma and feel as soon as you set your eyes on it.

I would definately book here again, but in ski season since we are skiiers and would love to ski Mt. St. Anne!

I have read some of the negative reviews of other people who have stayed in the Club Vacances Toutes Saisons, and I can't help but wonder, where these people were staying. My husband and I spent the 1st week, of our two-week Canadian HONEYMOON there, and LOVED IT!

I'll start off by saying, no, it's not a luxury hotel, but it is a great place to stay, regardless. We had a one bedroom, full bath, and kitchen, and absolutely loved our unit. The entire unit was IMPECABLY clean (and I would like to point out that I'm a CLEAN FREAK) and we had a beautiful view of Mont St. Anne. I was quite impressed, especially after reading all of the negative reviews before we arrived.

These condos were also in the PERFECT location, especially for travelers like ourselves, who've never been to Quebec. There is a supermarket right down the road, and within a short driving distance is Quebec City, Charlevoix Region, Isle d'Orleans, and COUNTLESS other wonderful tourist attractions.

I would also like to point out, that regardless of what other reviewers stated, the staff was UNBELIEVABLY helpful with giving us info about the region, places to go, and things to do.

If you take the unit for what it is - simply, a clean condo in a GREAT location, and like I said, NOT The Ritz Carlton, I promise, you will not be disappointed.

We are from Ottawa Ontario, and will NEVER return to Club Vacance Le Plateau -- its a dump. DUMP. Staff have to be convinced that we could stay in a room that smelled like it had been smoked in for years. Run down, cigarette smelling unit, with ashes and dirt on the bathroom door. RCI -- if you are booking with RCI don't do it. You will be so disappointed. RCI -- do EVERYONE a favor, don't list it in your condo listings. Its unhealthy -- the biggest dive I have ever seen in all my travels. In fact I will be contacting Quebec Public Health for an inspection...
