When we travel out to the east coast we always stay at the Comfort Inn. It's right off the highway and is easy to get to. A Boston Pizza and PetroCanada are right down the street ... and the downtown is just a 5 minute drive away.
We like the fact that it is pet friendly.

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly. The breakfast room is always kept well-stocked and has ample choice ... including those looking for healthy choices to start their day.

We stopped to stay at this property on the way back to Ontario from Halifax,NS. The Front Desk Staff was great. Our room was clean with nice new decor and a big bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We visited the Edmundston Botannical Gardens while in the area, very beautiful.

After a long drive through Quebec, Edmundston is the gateway to the Maritime Provinces and a great place to stop before heading south for a Maritime vacation, or before going north into Quebec. This is Canada's only officially bilingual province and I have never run into a French Canadian here who did not speak English, especially in service businesses. From Edmundston, you can reach almost every part of the rest of the Maritimes in a day or less. (Halifax is about 7 hours.)
My wife and I reserved on line to take advantage of the pet-friendly policy of this motel and their AAA rate. The room was large and very clean. Bathroom also clean and up to date. The breakfast that is included in the room rate is normal for such a motel, but included waffles and other pastries as well as the usual bagels and toast. Boiled eggs were available.
Check in was fast and friendly. The fitness room has several machines for toning and aerobic workouts. There is a computer in the lobby for convenience. The only bad point for us was that the motel was built with individual room air conditioning, and this is always noisy.

We have five children who swam competitively so we stayed at a lot of different motels over the years - especially Comfort Inns. This particular motel has always been one of the best for service and price. Now that our children have grown up (and we do not travel as much) it is nice to see that this has not changed. They have added a few things since we were last here like a separate room for the continental breakfast and a weight room but their best feature (friendly service) has remained the same.
