Stayed here for a day thank god .. nothing great, I thought I would have a view of the river not. The room were clean but we did have a suite, all our other friends had small rooms and no fridge in rooms, only in the suites. Also the resto downtown stairs was not very fast people waited for 1hr and they still did not get there meals. Will not be going back there I hear the Ramada is much nicer ... Also not all rooms have a balcony keep in mind..

We stayed here for one night on our way to Quebec and were happy with the quality and value.

The room had what we needed, was clean and the beds were comfortable.
We had no trouble with parking out front, and made use of the very tiny pool (there seemed to be a lifeguard there during opening hours, which I haven't seen in other hotels, but I guess its a good thing).

The breakfast wasn't included, but there were some cheap enough options on the menu. We had the house-made strawberry yogurt (fresh! not too sweet) and vegetarian baked beans (great taste). Both were excellent and I was totally impressed that they made it in house.

The best part was that the hotel was a nice walking distance to Ottawa over the bridge. The bridge has plenty of pedestrian/bike space, so we walked into the Byward market for dinner and a drink and it was a nice nighttime walk with views over the river.

We had no trouble with staff or service, in fact the breakfast staff in the restaurant were very friendly.

I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel close to downtown without the downtown Ottawa prices.
