The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas, however, if you are going on a holiday down south you wouldn't expect the pool to be closed. We actually picked this 'resort' because it had a pool. My family and I took a holiday to visit my brother and go skiing but the pool was closed for 4 of the days and had reduced hours over the winter break. We paid 116 and 159 a night based on the holidays, but the hotel then reduced services for the holiday, which doesn't make sense. Our room wasn't even cleaned until 6pm and the coffee and tea wasn't refilled. Charging extra on a holiday is supposed to reflect the extra costs incurred. The room was large ( a bit worn in terms of furniture) and clean and the beds comfortable and the pool was a very nice pool when it was open with a nice life guard.

The lobby is very nice. Had a nice big christmas tree and fire burning. Very cozy. They were accomodating in that we were two adults and three children. We asked for a microwave and fridge in our room which was provided. The only negative thing is that the bathroom did not have a fan and there were only about three anglo TV channels. Maybe about 10 tv channels combined. I was not allowed to get to Netflix but I was allowed to get to itunes using my iPad. That was the only downside other than I forgot my Ipad charger in the room and when I went back up it was gone. I had to fill out a form but have not had a call yet.

Unless it is for a visit to Echo de Brazil. I will not be back to this hotel.
My first complaint would be the service from the staff. A little bit goes a long way...but they don't give even a little bit.
My second complaint would be regarding the room service. Thy claim that it is open til either 10pm or 11pm (don't remember the exact time) When I returned to my room from a party I was attending downstairs early...just to place a room service order on time I called 30 minutes before they claimed to be closed. However, they would not answer their phone in the kitchen. Not impressed.
All in all it just was not a positive experience for the money that was spent!!

Reserved a room to attend a party which was originally scheduled for a Friday nite...cost quoted was $109 . Party was then moved to the following Saturday nite and the price had jumped to $129. Thought weekend rates were usually cheaper than week rates????
Booked ahead of other guests attending the party and were given a room in the basement. It was like sleeping in the service wing. Room was large and appeared to have been converted from a meeting room. Badly in need of re-decorating with big stains on the carpet . bathroom was archaic.
Rooms on upper floors were much better and same price. Asked morning clerk for reduction in price and was told manager would contact us . ....no one has callled
