Great Hotel, great location, great View, exceptional food, wonderful hosts, all in all a wonderful way to start our 4 week holiday in Canada. We stayed 5 nights at the Rocky Mountain Springs Hotel using it as our base to 'tick off' the Rocky Mountain National Parks each of which were do-able in a day from this central point. Stephen and Edit couldn't have been better hosts and if we ever get back to this part of Canada again their hotel will be the first one on our list of great places to stay. Once again Stephen and Edit, thanks for making our stay such a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: We only stayed on the upper floor so I can't say whether it was better than those on the ground...

“Charming & romantic”

My husband and I stayed at the Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge for a little getaway after our wedding in September. We chose it because of it's low price... and didn't really know what to expect. As we pulled up, we were a little underwhelmed... the building looks fairly old... but it didn't take us long to change our minds! The rooms are quaint, but extremely clean, and have absolutely stunning views. What really blew our minds... was the food at the restaurant. WOW! We ate there 3 times and everything was spectacular. The couple who owns the hotel & restaurant is extremely sweet... they do everything themselves... and give you a really amazing experience. If you are looking for an inexpensive, relaxing getaway for a couple of days... we would definitely recommend the Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge.

Room Tip: I would get a room on the top floor - although the view is great from any room in the building.

“Exceptional Getaway”

We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Springs September 7th and 8th as part of the Getaway Package which included two nights accommodation, breakfast and dinner for both days.

We were immediately pleased with the "million dollar view" and the location of the hotel. Although we arrived earlier than the posted check-in time, the hosts graciously checked us in which was appreciated after our long drive which meant that we were able to rest and be refreshed before touring the area.

The room was immaculate and had a sitting room separate from the bedroom. The weather was very hot during our stay but the air-conditioner kept us very comfortable. There is a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the majestic mountains. The meals are Hungarian and European and it was a treat to taste food that was different from the usual restaurant fare; we enjoyed all the meals. Breakfast choices were scrambled eggs, a waffle or a ham and cheese omelet. Excellent meals again; the waffle is simply delicious. Desserts are not to be missed; we enjoyed apple streudel and crepes, both of which were the best we have ever tasted.

The hosts attend to every request and offer excellent service. We chose to dine on the patio and enjoy the fabulous view; sitting on the patio, sipping wine and eating an excellent meal amongst the mountains is a rarity; of course, the weather co-operated and both evenings were absolutely enchanting.

Two pool passes to the Hot Springs are included. Our host , Steven, suggested going late in the evening which we did and enjoyed sitting in the outdoor pool in the moonlight.

Liked best: Fabulous view; excellent service and delicious meals.

Like least: Absolutely nothing - we loved every minute and look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Check our the Getaway Package.

“Fabulous hospitality amongst a beautiful backdrop”

Host Steven and his wife were so congenial. The room was spic and span clean. The food at the Citradella restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Form the name, we were expecting Italian but they serve Hungarian. Out of this world. And with the breakfast that is included in the mornings, crepes is one of the choices. The 3 crepes made on the spot with (and delicious at that) with fresh fruit and chocolate was another surprise. A perfect getaway from the concrete jungle that is Calgary.
