My family and I didn't arrive until around 8:30 pm the one night, and we left the hotel by 8:15 or so, the next morning, so we felt it met our needs for that short time period. We had supper well before we arrived, so we didn't need to know what restaurants were available in the vicinity, if there were any. When I reserved the room, back in Apr., I wasn't too pleased with the rate of $116 (and that was a CAA rate)+ taxes for the night, but that was all that was available in town. When I re-confirmed a few days before arriving, with a newer cc expiry date, the rate dropped to $110 (not a CAA rate). It was convenient, to be able to back-up the car, to the patio door area of our room, to get our items into the room. The room was nice, and clean, which is important. Unfortunately, a fire alarm woke us at 12:30 am, and the night front desk attendant banged on our door. It was then that we realized that it was the alarm right above our beds, so he had to get up on a chair to try and fix it. He muttered how he "hates when that happens". He had to leave/come back and cut the smoke alarm from the ceiling!! Hopefully it doesn't happen often, as my family had gotten up, and later were wide awake for awhile, as they tried to get back to sleep ( I had stayed in bed thru' all this!). We weren't terribly upset by this, as nothing like this has ever happened in all our travels. The continental breakfast was basic, but we did get enough to eat. It was located in a motel room, and it did get crowded with people lining up, and the 3 or 4 tables were full. When places offer a continental breakfast, they should have a big area, as they know it will get crowded, as people like us like to stay at a place with free breakfast, so that we can get on our journey quickly! We would stay there again, if we were there another time, as we weren't there long anyway.
