Just returned from two charmed days spent with Val and Ed. If you want a luxurious, spotlessly clean accomodation where everything from the duvet to the towels are of such quality as to be found only in the best hotels; if you enjoy your equally luxurious breakfast while admiring the view of the sea and the mountain, basking in the sun on the deck in full view of the sea; if you like to watch a good movie in the evening (or on a rainy day, from a selection of several hundred, on a gigantic screen; if you enjoy a good soak in the hot tub on the deck (extra towels and robes, yes robes, are provided) while your salmon bakes on the gas BBQ; and if you like Christmas all year round (literally), warm hospitality and reliable information as to where to go and what to see, then this is the place for you.

My mother and I had a great experience staying at charm n sea during our recent visit to Vancouver Island. This was one of the few b&b's we were able to find with two twin beds, and the room was very pretty, extremely clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The room had a very nice private bathroom with a great shower and other amenities. The b&b is also well located, away from the center of Sooke, but on the main drag and only a short drive further west (which also put us a little bit closer to point no point and port renfrew while maintaining the convenience of being close to all central activities, including the sooke harbour house). Val and Ed were great hosts, providing good advice about the area (and encouragement for my mother, who went kayaking and hiking for the first time on this trip!). Our breakfasts were really fantastic and we enjoyed the view of the water while we ate. The christmas motif of this b&b was quirky and fun but for us was really incidental to a great b&b experience. We would most certainly return!

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful days in Sooke and were fortunate to stay at the Charm 'n' Sea B&B which overlooks the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Val and Ed were fantastic hosts and were able to provide advice on any of our queries concerning sights, attractions or best eating spots. Our large fully self contained and quiet room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and was spotless. The B&B has a huge common room, a great video library and a hot tub. The year-round theme is Christmas and it's beautifully decorated accordingly. We were presented with a delicious, gourmet breakfast each morning. Overall, exemplary accommodation, excellent breakfast and wonderful hosts.
