Do you believe that Christmas is all year round?

We sure do after meeting Val & Ed of the CharmnSea B&B in Sooke on the Vancouver island.To make it more realistic they even have deers (live ones)on their front lawn.The breakfast is absolutely divine and their place is spotless.They even told us about some remote places that only residents know about and that are worthwhile for quietness and astounding views.Lovely house nearby the waterfront,wonderfull guests and a house so well decorated with Christmas objects that you feel that you're in fact with Mr&Mrs SantaClaus.If you plan on visiting Vancouver Island,you must stop by.They are only about some 40 minutes from Victoria.We would recommend their B&B without any hesitation.If you do drop in,tell them that Robert and Mimi say hello.A must if you want to wake the little kid in you.

This was such a nice place and Val & Ed were the perfect hosts. Their home was built to be used as a bed & breakfast with bedrooms and commons area seperate from the host's quarters. The whole place is decorated (very tastefully) in a Christmas theme. All the amenities were available including a hot tub and wireless internet. Hiking trails and beautiful scenery completed the experience. This was one of the best places we stayed during our 5 week excursion through Alaska and BC.

My family and I stayed at Charm & Sea 2 years ago and had such a memorable stay with our gracious hosts Val and Ed that we had to go back again this spring for a return visit and as before, we had the same wonderful and comfortable stay that we had experienced during our first stay.
Val's is a fantastic chef and together with Ed as a team, we had amazing breakfasts each morning, lovely teas/coffees with home made goodies each day when we returned, lots of help with advice and information on how best to enjoy Sooke and its surroundings and awesome wildlife right at their doorstep as we were greeted each day by wild deer on their front lawn.
Our hosts were most accommodating with any request that we have and there is no other place that we will stay when we are in Sooke.
We have stayed in many nice B & B's all over Canada in past years but Charm & Sea is one of the the best that we have been. We would highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, friendly, place with luxury touches and gourmet cuisine to stay as a home away from home while on holiday
