very clean with excellent service,we stayed 1 night
and dined at their restaurant. The experience was second to none.
We will return without doubt. A great getaway for a romantic tryst.

This place is a gem. The food is exquisite and the ambience has charm and warmth. What a treat to visit and dine.

This is a three storey manor house, set in beautiful extensive grounds. Sitting on the veranda having a drink was lovely. You can take a scenic nature trail up the mountain but be careful I slipped on a wet stone and hurt myself so wear decent shoes. Our bedroom was on the first floor in a bay view room (there is no lift) and was lovely with a beautiful view over the front lawns. We pre-booked the restaurant which was just as well because it was fully booked. Having a drink in the bar was excellent before enjoying a really lovely meal. Some of the chairs however are extremely uncomfortable and need to be replaced. My husband said he has sent back food and wine before but never CHAIRS!!!

This is a lovely hotel with comfortable bedrooms and decorated very tastefully. The house and grounds are well kept and there are some well marked out walks that take you to a wonderful viewing point. It was nice to have a separate bar where you could go for an early evening drink. However they desperately need to do something about the chairs in the Restaurant!.. We had booked for an evening meal and as we sat down, two of us stood straight back up again because it felt like there were metal bars through the middle of our chairs. The other two in our group found it most amusing as their chairs were fine. By the end of the first course we spoke to the waitress about it and she said people have complained about some of the chairs before and they took our chairs away and replaced them. I dont think I could have actually sat on the chair for the whole meal had it been necessary. At breakfast the following morning we noticed one table of people moved tables because of the chairs and then 2 of the men swopped chairs with other chairs at different tables. My evening meal was very good but the breakfast was disappointing. I think this might have been due to the waitress at breakfast who was not very forthcoming and helpful and it was only when we got back to the room and looked at the menu displayed in the book that we realised there were alternatives which weren't offered. If they replace all the chairs and send the staff on a training course in customer relations it would really benefit the hotel.
