“Sunshine Chalet - a great place for authentic hospitality”

Kimberley was a great choice for our end of season ski trip (Mar 25th-Apr 3rd) This was our only window this season and we knew the choice of resort and accommodation would be crucial for a memorable holiday. Our enthusiastic hosts, Sue and Richard at Sunshine Chalet, had told us of the good snow record at Kimberley and sure enough during our trip we had fresh snow, whilst there were mudslides in nearby Fernie. In choosing Kimberley, we were keen to avoid the soulless ski resorts which are all too common these days. The hospitality, food, accommodation and ski guiding given to us at Sunshine Chalet were excellent and the authentic Swiss-style chalet was exactly what we wanted. The town centre of Kimberley has a warm, old-world charm with a reasonable number of shops, including the ski and mountain bike hire centre, Rocky’s, who gave us excellent advice and choice of equipment hire, coupled with a highly professional service. We will certainly return to Kimberley and Sunshine for another holiday.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Sunshine Chalet. The property is stunning and the owners and staff really friendly.
We were picked up from Cranbrook airport by one of the owners and it was a short drive to the chalet.
Our rooms all had balconies and en suite bathroom facilities. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and a four course dinner including coffee are all included in the price. Plus all your ski and snowboard equipment rental.
The chalet has great facilities including two private hot tubs, a games room and a mezzanine reading room.
A ramp allows easy access for disabled persons and there is a dedicated disabled suite on the ground floor..
The ski equipment was good quality and was supplied from a specialist ski shop in town and the staff there were also very helpful when my wife had to change her boots.
we would certainly recommend this chalet. We had a fabulous time and have already booked again for next year
