I stayed at this hotel for one night on business. I go to Orillia on business sometimes and always stayed at Comfort Inn.

I expected more from this hotel as the name says "Best Wester PLUS". But I didn't find anything special.

I got a room with fireplace which was nice. But the room I stayed was not good for work. There was no chair to match the desk. So I ended up working on the bed. My colleague had the same comment.
Because we go to Orillia for work and need to work at night, we decided to stick with Comfort Inn.

Decided to stay here at the very last minute after a Casino Rama concert when it was pouring rain, rather than driving back to Toronto. The room was in my opinion above average for a Best Western. I can't say I'm a fan of the chain since I find given the franchise nature of the banner that it can be very inconsistent with generally older properties but this hotel really tries hard. I have gotten asked repeatedly for feedback on the stay which shows they are making an above average effort in guest relations. Breakfast was included which i took advantage of which consisted of the usual continental items and some form of hot eggs and sausage meat which I passed on. Conveniently located just near the turn off into Casino Rama. If I was planning on staying for the purpose of a Rama trip, I would probably try and stay at the Day's Inn which is directly across the road from Rama and then I could drink and just walk across the road next time.

We had booked a small suite with hot tub and fireplace and were not disappointed with the room. Very comfortable bed, large TV with lots of channels. Staff were helpfull. Look forward to staying here again.

We had an uplanned trip to Orillia for a happy family function and they were quick to accommodate us on short notice, along with our Golden Retriever. Although we were in a pet-friendly room there was no evidence of any other animals, the room was immaculate. So was the spa facility with the hot tub, gratefully used after a long day.There is a recreational trail right behind the hotel for walking or biking and it takes you all the way in to downtown with interesting side trails. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and varied.
So why not four stars? The mattresses on the beds. I am someone who wants firm, and laments the overstuffed pillow-top mattresses. These pillow tops felt 4 inches think and it was too much for me to get a good night's sleep.
But if you want cushy, don't hesitate to book here.
