The house has a very nice antique look. We spent one night in the room upstairs (Alcove). Backyard and pool are accessible and hosts were welcoming. Breakfast was delicous. Great locations, lake and restaurant are accessible within 5 minutes walk. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet B&B.

My wife and I needed to get away for the weekend and decided to visit Magog for some R&R. Fortunately, we stumbled upon Manoir de la rue Merry and had a terrific stay!

We stayed for three nights and the service, food, and accomodations were fantastic. Value for money, staying at a B&B can't be beat and this one was top notch. We met some great people, ate some great food, and skiid at Owl's Head (discounted tickets available).

If you're looking for a nice quiet spot, Manoir de la rue Merry is for you. The house has old charm and character but has been updated nicely. The B&B offers free wifi internet and a television in the common room with a fire place.

We only just got home but we are already keen to go back in the summer for cycling.

We have always wanted to visit this part of Quebec and had some difficulty deciding where to base ourselves for our four night stay. Magog proved to be a great choice - central, with plenty of availabilty accomodation wise and many well priced restaurants.
This B and B has five rooms, but each one is well decorated and very clean. We were fortunate as our room faced away from the busy street so it was quiet at night.
But be advised that there is no airconditioning and we stayed here during a heat wave. Although fans were provided, the rooms were very hot.
A previous poster mentioned that there was no common fridge - this has been rectified and there is a small fridge in the dining room for guests to use. Although there are many restaurants in Magog, we went grocery shopping a few times and enjoyed some great meals in the back yard of the B and B. We also brough our bikes with us and toured the area the old fashion way.
The B and B is well situated and is only a short walk from the main downtown area. And I must comment on the breakfasts - truly gourmet and plentiful. The only negative comment that I have is that our room was not cleaned once during our stay. The towels were not replaced - I had to request that they be freshened after three days and additional toiletries were not provided.

It was our first time to Magog and have visited B and B's many times. This was a very good one. I don't know how the previous owners were, but the new hosts, Dominique and Yves do their utmost to ensure you have a great stay - even lending tools to fix a car! The Turner room was beautifully decorated, small but nice bathroom. The breakfasts were truly gourmet and impressive, as was the dining room that we ate in. The living room was very inviting with a small TV (rooms did not have any). The pool was lovely - unusually so for a B and B. I noticed that since the pictures displayed here on the internet, both the pool furniture as well as the dining room furniture have been changed (and upgraded). The 2nd floor balcony also had a very nice view of rue Merry as well as a partial (but beautiful) view of the lake. The only negatives were that there was not a common fridge (first time I have seen that) so that any wine or anything else you bring must be left in their fridge and given to you when the hosts are around. Also, the only airconditioning for this B and B is in the bedrooms - unfortunately, ours was so noisy that we were forced to sleep with the fan on for the 3 nights we were there. It was quite hot the first night .

Otherwise, this B and B is highly recommended and I would return. Magog is a great little town with lots to do and see. The Vieux-Clocher has great theatre and we were lucky enough to see a fabulous entertainer, Florence K, when we were there.
