This B&B would definitely be perfect for a one night stay, just due to it's location being kind of off the beaten path. But that's also what makes it so special! To look out your window and see an old castle surround by water and land as far as you can see....when do you get to do that? Garrett and Patricia were very nice and welcoming. Garrett was friendly, asked us about ourselves and told us some stories about the history of his family and the island we were on. Which was a great start to our trip, since this was our first night. The room was decent, bathroom was a little small, but I soon learned that most bathrooms/showers are in Ireland, haha! We had a comfortable stay and slept well. Breakfast was really good, they asked us exactly what we wanted, so it was made to order. Their coffee was delicious! We also had dinner there since we got in so late and didn't want to venture back into town to try to find food. It was a little expensive as another reviewer mentioned, but it is homecooked, made to order food, so I didn't mind that much, especially after learning how expensive food was at restaurants anyway! Since it was winter, we didn't get to see all the lovely foliage around the property as the pictures show, but I can imagine that it's simply beautiful in the spring and summer! Their little lounge had lots of books to read by the fire on the comfy leather sofas! Free wireless internet worked well in our room which was great! Overall a wonderful experience, felt like part of the family.
