An earlier Trip Advisor reviewer aptly titled his/her review except I thought the accommodations were "Very Good" as opposed to "Good". The staff were very polite, cordial and helpful - check in was a little slow because the front desk happened to be quite busy - it was just a case of bad timing. The room was very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. It may have been recently renovated. Breakfast was good. Proximity to the Airport was ideal but the train whistles were a bit of a surpise and annoyance, especially the second one - I was too tired to be overly bothered and not surprisingly, ear plugs are provided in the bathroom.

If you get the feeling the world economy has gone into a slump and never recovered, book yourself a night at this HI Express and gaze out the windows at the sea of lights and hum of activity (24/7) in the Nisku Industrial Park nearby, or the rapidly expanding airport to the west. Oil and gas rule here, and you'll pay more then you are used to at an HIE in the U.S and most other places.

Rooms and clean and comfortable, with modern decor. The hotel has expanded several times already since I started staying here. Last year, a first-floor room (wheelchair accessible) was a bit noisy and near lobby. This year, on 3rd floor and away from elevator, was very quiet.

This was my third stay at this property. Additionally, I have booked it three other times in the last 18 months for family members travelling enroute to the east coast. In fairness it has a disclaimer posted about renovations but I did not see any evidence of such but this may be related to the time of day we arrived. The reception person was very nice, wanting to make our stay pleasant, but the overall professionalism, from a management system was failing. I would advise this manager/owner to visit the similiar property in Dieppe New Brunswick to get some tips on reception area, staff ratio, room cleanliness, and overall appearance and reception. I was disappointed, had visions of a similar previous experience at this property but it was not the same. It is close to the airport, and it does have a good breakfast, but it fails in all other service domains.

I stayed here recently because of an early flight the next day. The complimentary shuttle service is perfect. Check-in was efficient, my room was clean and well-appointed with microwave, sink, mini-fridge, and bathroom aminities. I would stay here again.
