This hotel was far cleaner and safer than other hotels/motels I've stayed in Strathmore.
Staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast buffet was filled with bacon, french toast, etc.
Rooms are average sized. Linen, bedding, etc. were average. It did contain a fridge and microwave (both were clean!) for guests to use, free of charge. From what I recall, I believe there was hair dryer for patrons to use.
My only two items that should be noted are: a) the room was dim even after all the lights were turned on b) there is a smell of diesel mixed with the animal processing plant that came into the room air conditioning (so try to ask for a high floor room or one that does not back onto where the vehicles park); my colleague's room at the time was worse than mine.
Overall, for the most part, the rooms were very quiet. Surprisingly did not hear much road/ vehicle noise. Also, far less intoxicated patrons than the other hotel just down the street.
I would rate this hotel as 2 to 2.5 stars out of 5 by North American standards. It is a good stopover hotel if you need a night or so rest, and want to reserve the 45 minute drive to Calgary.
