“Absolutely perfect for our family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

We stayed there for the first time on August 15th, on our way to Smithers for a family reunion. They put the 17 of us up in four rooms close together, and close to the pool and breakfast room. We had planned to stay at Red Coach in 100 Mile - some of us had a good experience there several years ago - but recent tripadvisor reviews showed a major decline recently. So, we tried 108 Resort based on tripadvisor reviews and were very glad we did.

They gave us a bit of a "bulk discount", but even the standard rate is exceptional value - and includes breakfast. The service is consistently amazing! Valerie especially was an angel. They are totally family friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Our ages span 4 months to 49 years - and catered for all of us. They turned an overnight road stop into a magical family occasion. We had dinner (pizza delivered to the resort, and our own drinks) on the outside deck, overlooking the pool, the lake, and golf course - west-facing to take in a gorgeous sunset. Then we spent the evening playing in the large, clean swimming pool.

I would have given this 5 stars, except that some of the place is showing its age. For example, the bath tub had several chips, which someone had tried to repair. But it is well maintained. The floorings and toilets were near new, everything looked freshly painted, it was tidy and clean and comfortable, and everything worked. We didn't want a flashy glass block and marble architectural masterpiece - or the price that goes with it - so it was absolutely perfect for us.

The beds were comfortable and the place is VERY quiet - nothing louder than a songbird. The resort is a km or two off the highway, so there is no road noise. We slept superbly. We enjoyed 108 Resort so much, we stayed there again on August 29th on the way back to Vancouver, and were not disappointed. Top marks.

Room Tip: Close to the lobby, breakfast room, pool, sauna ,etc is most convenient - but they seem to book the...

“relaxing, comfortable, and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

Just spent 4 days at the 108 and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were so over the top, they couldn't do enough for us. They have had a hrd time with 2 fires and the change in ownership, but they stood strong and are fighting to b even better. Over the years I have driven right by on my way to Prince George but never really knew what a great placeit was. The view and all the wild life is really incredible, take time and go there and find out you will love it there.

“Pleasantly surprised!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

It was hard finding info re the !08 Resort as is has been in receivership, after a fire several years ago. We had only booked one night, as we were not at all sure we wanted to stay there.
The resort now has a local owner, who is making every effort to restore the Resort to its past reputation.
We found a wonderful staff of friendly, accomodating people. Although the room we had was a bit dated, it was extremely clean and comfortable. The cost was $89 a night for the standard 2 bed room, which is very reasonable in todays hotel market.
There was a continental breakfast provided, a golf course that my husband enjoyed immensely, and a pool that was both clean and warm. Lots of walking trails, and also canoe and bike rentals are available on site. The tennis courts are in need of repair, but I am sure that will come with time.
Our 1 night stay turned into 5, as we explored 100 mile house and the surrounding area. We will be back, but the rates will probably increase as improvements are made!!

“Above average for motel style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2008

My wife and I stayed at this allocated motel for one night (late June 08) as part of Jonview's fly drive package tour of Canada.

We had a standard ground floor (N American 1st floor) room, which was large, as was the bathroom and is above average for a motel style of accommodation. All rooms have excellent views of the golf course and lakes and have a balcony with chairs.

We didn’t use the pool, which in fact was covered over, as apparently some of the nights had been cold. The tennis courts did look overgrown and had no nets up and certainly needed attention. As a golfer, the golf course looked good, although I didn’t play it.

The meals in the golf club house restaurant were very good and again there were panoramic views over the lake and golf course.

There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Complimentary coffee is available from the reception area. We found this a little annoying, as we Brits like our cup of tea first thing in the morning !!

There are some good trails for walking around the lakes and around the golf course (not across it).

The staff were all friendly and helpful and it is certainly a place that we will consider going back to.

“Great views”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2008

The hotel is 8 mile North of 100 mile house and was chosen as a stopover between Jasper and Whistler.

Reception - not very good - rooms clean and adequate. Some good features e.g areas to walk, heritage centre, golf if you like it, pool o.k.
Some things need a refurb. e.g tennis courts.

Food o.k. in resteraunt
