While we were in Vancouver our first hotel left alot to be desired, so we looked around & found this hotel. Were we happy. We found it very well maintained outside so we felt better walking in. Our room was very comfortable & clean, the location to the Sky Train made our stay easy. The people on the front desk were very friendly. I would recomend it to others.

I will not stay anywhere else in Vancouver. They are very nice - rooms are alway clean and people who work there are great and try to make your stay as nice as possible. The single rooms are large and nice the 2 bedroom apartments are nice as well - but the living space is a little on the small side.
The location was good enough. The rooms were pretty clean, but it's hard to see that through all the peeling mac tac paper, rusted metal outlets, awful paint - mostly pink and purple? Everything was very old and many repairs needed to make this an enjoyable place to stay.
The first room we had was SOOOO noisy, we could hear every footstep from above, voices and the plumbing literally howled while the people above us showered at 1:30am.
The deskman was very nice and moved us the next day (to a more expensive room), which was a nice enough gesture, but overall the hotel leaves alot to be desired. I feel it is quite overpriced as there are many hotels in the area that charge only slightly more money for much nicer rooms and more amenities.
Would be nice to at least have had a coffee maker in the room for 129 per night in the winter.

We booked it as it is near the sky train - it was okay but nothing special. The place was a bit run down & not really what we expected. I wouldn't recommend it if you used to something with a bit of class.

Lake City Motor Inn was the best place I could have picked to stay while
visitng friends in Vancouver. The SkyTrain was directly across the street.
Breakfast was included with the price of the room and the room was huge!
Family run, so you were talking to the owners everytime you spoke to staff.
My single room had a kitchenette, right down to the dish soap and towels.
The bathroom had a bath mat and hand rails. The TV had over 50 stations!
There was a full sized couch, a dinette set, iron, ironing board, a fire
extinguisher, quiet setting, fresh smelling ( not like other hotels at all).
I never felt more welcome or made more at home. I've been going to
British Columbia for 30 years and this was the best place I ever stayed.
