We booked a room with this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there 7 years ago. Apparently the hotel has declined terribly since then because the room was awful! The room stank of cigarette smoke, the mattresses were visibly sagged, and the carpets and chairs were stained. The light switch plates had obviously not been cleaned in ages as they were horribly grimy. The towels, though laundered, had obvious stains on them....and on it goes. The whole room had a very run down feel to it: chipped paint, old stained fridge and bathroom fixtures etc. We had to 'negotiate' for over half an hour with the desk clerk to get our money back so we could go find a better hotel to stay in.
I absolutely could not recommend that anyone stay here at any price point.
