Very nearly 4/5 but this doesn't fall under the same category as other hotels i've given 4/5.
Staff at check in were very polite.
Rooms were basic and clean.
Continental consisted of toast, bagels, cereal, fruit and coffee.
The pool and hot tub area was great.
Free parking and wi-fi.
It is a little way south of Campbell River (approx 30 min walk) so when going out drinking a cab will cost about $20 inc tip. There is a bar next door called Freddies which is ok.

This hotel is a little older but the maintenance on this place is awesome.
Front end staff is friendly, check in was fast and fun.
The hotel from the front door to the hotel room to the dog walking out back is spotlessly clean.
The pool looks very nice.
The computer is free and clean.
Parking is free and lots of it.
Breakfast was good.
Situated on a busy hwy, but the noise level was very low.
Yes, we brought the dog, which was no problem.
And all for under $100.00, steal of a deal for high season on Vancouver Island.
We will be back and highly recommend.

The lady at the counter never smiles. She looks unhappy and needs to be more personable. Quite expensive for one nights stay. I didn't see any continental breakfast out.

We stay at this hotel once a year, and it does the job. We stay a couple nights usually, coming into town for business. We don't spend much time at the hotel, have never actually used the pool, or had the breakfast.
Beds are comfortable enough, rooms were a little tired/old in appearance but clean, shower had hot water, TV worked... all you could ask for really if all you need was a place to sleep for the night.
