We booked this deal through the "Living Social" special that went out this winter. I think they booked a lot of stays through this offer which meant it was a good value to ski and stay, but we had a few problems that are worth mentioning.
First and most important, this place does not allow kids. Apparently they have a policy somewhere on the website that "clearly states" children under 13 are not allowed. However, this policy was non-existent on the deal we booked through, nor was it raised in my telephone booking, nor was it found anywhere on the website which we reviewed before and after our visit. This meant the first time we learned of the policy was at 10:30 pm on the night we arrived. Fortunately, the manager realized this policy was not brought to our attention at the time of booking, so did not try to enforce the policy. For a hotel that promotes itself as a great place to host family gatherings - this policy seems odd.
The breakfast was excellent, and aside from the old televisions (which we really shouldn't be watching at a beautiful ski resort), the rooms were quite nice. We are not fans of feather beds, so we weren't impressed with the sleep, but luckily the pub is across the parking lot, so if you have a few drinks before bed you can get past that.
The service was inconsistent. At times they were really quite welcoming (breakfast was terrific), but as we got closer to checkout time, we could tell they wanted us out. For example, we attempted to take advantage of the hot tub (which actually was too hot - 113 ?!) at 10:40 am, and were quickly reminded that we NEEDED to be out by 11. Fair enough...the rooms need to be cleaned, it was just the extra attitude on the statement that bothered us.
Parting thoughts: we were left with a bad taste in our mouth and won't be returning, but it is a nice place...if you don't have kids...and are out by 11.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate customers providing feedback so we can continually evaluate our service levels and I believe you have brought up some points that we can improve upon.
Our lodge is adult (13+ yrs) oriented during the winter season and will update the website and confirmation documents to reflect this. Although most people love our luxury mountain featherbeds, we do have alternatives for people with allergies or preferences, that are available by request, in advance. To keep up our strong housekeeping standards and as we have large spa style bathrooms, our housekeeper does need the required time to turnover rooms to be available for our next guests, on time.
We hope that you enjoyed your stay overall and understand we strive to provide the best service possible.
