I had a weird room, with a harvest gold refrigerator from the 1970's and a color TV from the following decade. No worries, though. This basic room had plenty of space, a decent bed, and appeared to be clean. I stayed two nights here without any complaints.
The front desk staff (the owners, I assume) were friendly, and gave me the room with a kitchenette so I could be closer to the front office, and therefore, get a better connection to the wireless internet. Best of all, the price was right: $64 per night. Be sure to ask for a discount if you're staying more than one night!
