We booked the Mountain View room at the B&B months in advance based on the great reviews from Trip Advisor. All I can say is, it's a shame we were only here for one night. The B&B is situated approx 20Km's from Hope and 70Km's from the Manning Park Resort. We were travelling West on Highway 3 towards Vancouver so were recommended by Tony & Joyce to stop in the Manning Park Resort or head in to Hope to grab an evening meal. We stopped at the Manning Park resort and then had a 40min drive to the B&B.
Tony and Joyce were very welcoming and we sat and had a nice cup of tea with them on arrival and helped them commiserate the Dutch football team losing the World Cup! The Mountain View room was very spacious, bright and had an en-suite bathroom. The toilet was a little strange in that it only had a low partition wall separating it from the room, but I believe the room has now been renovated and updated to separate it. This wasn't anything that caused us any issues.
The room had a number of tourist information leaflets in it which were useful to browse through, and there was a hair drier, bath robes and slippers available!
The one thing that cropped up in a few Trip Advisor posts about this B&B was how comfortable the Bed was....what everyone says is correct, this was probably the most comfortable bed we slept in during our 3 week stay in Canada! Our previous night had been in a motel in Grand Forks, and the bed just about broke my back. This bed fixed it!!
In the morning of our departure Tony & Joyce cooked up a fantastic cooked breakfast, as well as serving some home made muffins! A great talking point at breakfast was the slide show of amazing pictures on the computer that people had taken, to which I have now added some of our holiday photos!
It would have been nice to have stayed here longer than one night as there was more we could have seen in the area had we had a little more time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would certainly go back if we are ever in the area again.
