“A few small improvements would make them a 5 versus 3”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

I have stayed at the Travelodge Parksville three times now. I would have liked to have rated them higher except that I find the beds are lumpy, either old, or maybe just poor quality mattresses? The linens and pillows seem like they could use an upgrade too, no cozy blankets The Microwave and Fridge are handy. Breakfast is nice good quality bread, yogourt and fruit is fresh. I find the choice in paint colours in the room strange I think they tried to match some existing 80s furniture with updated coulours and this didn't work out so well. Staff are super helpful and went above the call of duty to help me find transportation information to the Comox airport

Thank-you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on Travelodge Parksville with Trip Advisor. As you can imagine, it is difficult to find mattresses that suit the comforts of all our guests. Our British Columbian-made RestWell mattresses were manufactured and installed just three years ago. While we do not have any duvets available, extra blankets are available in every room and from our front desk staff. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed our complimentary continental breakfast - I may be bias, but I think that it is one of the best around! Next time you stay, be sure to try out the newest addition: hot waffles. Our front desk staff is very pleased to have been able to assist you with your transportation, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Lots of fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

We stayed at the Travelodge while looking for a place to live in Parksville. The hotel itself was nice, beautiful lobby, clean rooms with comfy beds, great free breakfast, the pool was nice and the hot tub nicer. Also the availability of a fitness room was very much appreciated. We stayed while the hotel was hosting a quilters retreat and although we were not a part of the retreat we could tell that the ladies who were were having a wonderful time. Lots of laughter and smiles from the ladies that we saw at breakfast. The staff was very helpful in finding places to eat, shop, and even suggestions on where to find a rental we could move into. The price was right in our budget and we would happily stay here again!

Thank-you so much for your kind words! The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know our guests and sharing information with them about our community. We often provide accommodation to guests that are in the process of relocating to the Parksville area, and we do our best to make everyone feel “at home” while they’re here. With several long-time local residents on staff, we have a vast amount of information on local attractions, businesses, and restaurants available to our guests. We hope that you have “settled in” to your new home by now and wish you all the best.

“Never thought I'd like a Travelodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

I generally won't stay at a Travelodge. In fact, usually, if a hotel has those not very nice polyester or whatever they are blankets, I won't stay there. But I'm in Parksville twice a year on business and although I've moved around hotels in other towns, I've always stayed at the Travelodge in Parksville. That is now ten times. It's quite nice really. The big rooms are great, lots of space to relax and work. It's a standard hotel but I've treated myself to resorts when I'm there for personal reasons but in the end, I feel comfortable here and it's a good location for where I need to be working. I enjoy the pool (although small for laps) and hot tub. If this is your budget, you'll be fine here.

Room Tip: Once I splurged on a jacuzzi tub king room but in the end, I wished I stuck with my regular room. E...

“Great hotel for family with kids and pets”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I have stayed at this trvelodge previously, hotel has new owners . Some updating has taken place. Satff are curtious and helpfull . Rooms come now wtih microwave and a mini fridge. Close waking to beach and mingolf across street. We had a good room for our 2 dogs. Great breakfast continental and facilities are excellent for family with children. The only complaint for us was the beds, firm matress and pillows were two soft. Very uncomfertable.

“As expected from a Travelodge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

We stayed two nights at this hotel while we were in Parksville for a wedding.

The outside of the hotel is deceiving as the interior has been significantly updated. The rooms were comfortable with a mini-fridge and microwave. The complimentary breakfast was good, with many options. There was plenty of seating in the dining area, as well as a patio available. The pool is quite small and 3 feet throughout - a little disappointing for our kids. The wifi is free.

This hotel can be accessed from only one side of the highway, but there is an easier entrance/exit from the highway around the back of the parking lot - ask the hotel staff.

Across the road from the hotel is a mini-golf + park which looks like fun.

I would stay in the hotel again, it was comfortable and quiet and not far from most things in Parksville.
