“Wonderful location and a cute hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Several trails begin from right next to the lodge. The location is fantastic. They also have a working sauna. Rooms are pretty basic but spacious. Internet is really slow but that's good because you must be outdoors when you visit Roger's pass. Restaurant has good breakfast.

Room Tip: No lift. So for people with limited mobility, main floor is the best.

Thanks for your review! It's a breath of fresh air when some of the positive aspects of not just our lodge, but the Rogers Pass area are highlighted by one of our guests. We are always improving too, so we welcome you to come back, stay and enjoy one of our delicious breakfasts any time!

“For that price? Give me a break”

There is one single word describing this hotel - it is DATED. Someday at the better times (in the 1950s) I guess it was a nice hotel on the way from Vancouver to beautiful Rockies. Not any longer. All carpets are well worn (and you may see even holes in the lobby). The bathrooms are painted with the horrible pink color and the tiling was finished a century ago. The whole beauty of the old wooden hotel was killed when a new owner opened a gift shop fenced with the bars. There were not such a thing as bads in the rooms. Instead we had mattressess put right on the wooden packing boxes from the store. They also used tiles to keep soap instead of standard bathroom accessories. So it is cheap cheap cheap for a relatively high price. The breakfast was fairly good though as well as the staff. I rank it 7 out of 9 hotels I have visited during my trip in BC and AB.

Thanks for your feedback. We are constantly improving the amenities and appearance of our lodge to better service our guests. We hope that any shortcomings you have noted did not detract from the one of a kind access to, and views of the beautiful Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass.

“Great Service and Highly Recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

I stayed at this rustic but comfy hotel and I just love all the friendly staff they have. Its a very historical hotel built in 1964. I just loved it and I highly recommend it to all travelers especially those driving past Trans Canada Highway 1. It will be definitely a good stop to stay. Take note they're Complimentary Breakfast was awesome. Good food for a good room rate. I was surprised for the complimentary breakfast because the last time I stayed their there was no special like these. Rooms were cleaned and they definitely pay much attention now with their public washroom its very CLEAN compared last year. Nature is spectacular, I will definitely come back for skiing in February. Ive read some bad reviews here but it won't stop me from staying at Glacier Park Lodge Rogers Pass because I get what I paid for, Its worthiet and also I am a satisfied customer. For all Galcier Park Lodge staff, keep up the good work and we'll see you again in February 2012. CHEERS!

“When you have no other options”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

Nothing special. Nice room but needs a update. That night a bus with a lot of people arrived, so we didn't have hot water for our shower! It was very warm in our room. Internet was very slow. First night dinner was good, second night we've got our soups and maincourse at the same time! So when you want to stay in this area, look for an other option.

“"We loved it and we'll be back!")”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

I was watching the others comments and my personal experience is far away of what they experience, I find the Internet perfect, my room was clean, every one was nice and friendly from different parts of the world, not much Canadians. My experience in the restaurant was great I had the chicken burger and was the best ever....I hilly recommended
