I just spent two days in Sidney on business and had the pleasure to stay at the Beacon Inn B&B. This property is very well kept. Quiet, warm, and comfortable is how I would describe it. The staff, I met Warren and Maria, were extremely helpful and charming people. I stayed in the Galiano (sp?) room, a large west-facing room with fireplace, flat screen TV, large bath/tub and separate shower. The entire property was immaculately clean. The pillow top queen size bed was heaven and I commented to Maria in the morning that it was the best nights sleep I've had in probably 15 years. The full breakfast was wonderful, two sittings 0800 and 0930, since my business colleague and I were the only ones there we got special attention, I'm sure. Thank you for your lovely detailed review, we are delighted to hear that you and your colleague enjoyed your recent stay! Thank you also for bringing to our attention the spotty WiFi reception on the upper floors, prompting us to take immediate action to resolve the issue. I'm happy to report today that we were able to increase the signal with the addition of new booster, and the WiFi reception is now perfect from all locations on the property.
A brief note about our rooms - you were indeed in the Galiano Island room, a lovely Westerly (Premium) category room and your colleague had stayed in one of our Sky (Standard) category rooms that faces north-east... the Sky category rooms are a little smaller than the Westerly rooms and should not to be confused with our Easterly (Superior) category rooms.
Thank you once again for your kind comments and helpful feedback. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Sidney.
