“Probably the best hotel in Terrace BC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2011

I have stayed at the Best Western Terrace several times & am finally writing a review, regarding my last trip. The rooms are really nice, especially for the price...they look almost renovated maybe? Clean bathroom, nice bedding, comfy beds, wireless (although I ended up plugging my laptop in to make it faster), tv (lots of channels), fridge and a microwave, 2 bottles of (free) water in the fridge everyday and free packages of coffee everyday and a pretty decent continental breakfast (toast, cereal, muffins, fruit, make your own waffles, drinks, etc). The Best Western is in a good area, close to downtown and near some good restaurants (Don Diegos is a Mexican one right across the street & really good...go early because they have a set menu made fresh & might run out) & Checkers pizza for good pizza to bring back to the room (the shanghai Chinese across from the hotel isn't THAT great)....A few downfalls: the elevator is slow, like everyone said, however, it didn't bother us, the pipes in some rooms seemed loud (didn't bug me), no sample/complimentary hand/body lotion, and there is a bigger guy who sits at the front desk at night time and he is a reallllll [---].....everyone else is very friendly, but he is super grumpy & rude & I have heard other people complain about him too...When all is said and done though, the BW hotel is the best one in Terrace. (oh and the bar is closed so it doesn't seem to be as noisy anymore).

“Look else where”

I have stayed here many many times I have put up with the slowest elevator in western Canada and the bad wireless and no air conditioning, the last straw is the closing of Beasly's pub in the hotel. Sorry Best Western I'm taking my 30 nights a year I stay here to another hotel. Staff was always good this hotel is just poorly managed.

“Is quite impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2010

Great complimentary breakfasts, we for stayed the River Boat Days Events played in the Soft ball Tourny. I liked the rooms very clean, service is great, it was quiet but the only downfall was we would rather do the stairs than wait for the elevator that took forever ..even though we had sore legs from ball we still hiked the stairs! I had accidently forgot my exspensive Salon Shampoo and Conditioner in the bathroom and had phoned the Hotel when we got back from our trip to see if Best Western would mail it back (because as I said it was quite expensive otherwise I would just said the heck with it.) They had stated that it was sitting waiting to be mailed, then 2 weeks still nothing so I phoned again and had the receptionist said it was mailed, and after 3 weeks I still recieved nothing. So I advise you to not to forget anything at the Hotel you may just not get it back..Im still waiting...thinkn I may just have to get another Jumbo size Salon Shampoo and Conditioner Im glad it wasnt an expensive watch or wedding ring ,ect. On another note the Hotel was sitn in the prime spot for the events. Dont expect to eat a nice sea food dinner even though they live close to Rupert It was our Anniversary weekend and was lookn for a good sea food restaurant..asked the receptionist where a good place was she didnt know...

“It is what it is”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

If one must go through Terrace, like me for work, this is the only place I'd stay. The exterior looks dated almost like an old hospital. The lobby is minimal but check in was quick and service was good. There's a bar located next to the lobby but I did not patronize so cannot comment there. The bedrooms were your standard motel level but they have LCD TVs which was a nice surprise. There's a small fridge and a microwave so if you want to store drinks, wine you can. They gave me 2 bottled water complimentary. There's free WIFI which is excellent as after my work day, there's nothing else to do in Terrace really so I surfed, emailed and called it a night shortly after. The hotel is close to the only proper eatery in Terrace called Don Diego's. Also less than 5 minute drive you can find stores like Shoppers, Safeway, supermarkets, gas stations, a Mr. Mikes and some other restaurants. So in short, I'd stay here again for business, it gave me the rest I needed. Bed was comfortable and there's also a work station if needed.

“Good Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2009

The Best Western Terrace Inn is an older property. This shows in the lobby and dining area being a bit dark, with dated furniture, and there being only one (somewhat slow) elevator. However, this should not deter you from staying there.

We were very happy with our room. It was clean and had obviously been recently updated. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well.

Included in the room rate was an “extended continental breakfast”, that consisted of scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns and either pancakes or French toast, along with the usual juice, cereal, toast, bagels, etc.

We considered the Terrace Inn to be a solid “4” and good value. We would stay there again.
