We arrived after a 7 hour ferry ride from North Sydney onto New Foundland late at night. We had no idea where we were going to stay but the best plan seemed to be to follow all the other cars as it was only 800KM to St John's

After about 90 minutes of driving we could see all the indicators in the distance and the majority of the cars were coming off the main road. We followed and most of the cars then went into the car park of the Holiday Inn

Despite the massive number of people trying to check in the receptionist was very efficient. At 2am i would have paid any price for a bed so was surprised to find it was only $135 for the night

The room was very large, clean and bright and the best thing was the duvets, the first we had encountered in 2 weeks of driving

i liked overall concept of layout, great front desk & felt like i knew the place even though i just arrived. More attention to detail & i would mark much higher..ie: mould on bathrm tiles, the thinest of plastic cups...no glasses(ie glass), ac which was so noisy it had to be shut off. We couldn't eat in restaurant because we didn't have resv. however, the bar food was good with quick delivery, bar staff excellent. If possible, book directly through hotel. I went through the 800 resv services...it was lengthy ie at minimum 5 minutes, and they had to be told to stop selling services & give me conf #/

A great place to sleep, staff were excellent and the scenery out towards Bay St. Georges is excellent !!

Beautiful spot to stay. Has all the ammenities you would expect from a fine hotel chain like the Holiday Inn.
