I stayed twice at this hotel, in June 2009 and June 2010. This is the closest hotel to the ferry terminal, and maybe the only one. The rooms are clean but the carpet and bed clothes feel old. During my second stay the pool was closed. It's expensive for what it offers, compared to other hotels in Nova Scotia, but, without other options, that's ok, if you are going to take the ferry.

We stayed for three nights and had a nice clean room. Everything worked fine. Front desk staff was very helpful with directions. Restaurant was very nice and good value.

Located right off the boat dock in North Sydney. The outside was presentable and rooms were clean. The restaurant had a good view and looked nice but we didn't eat there. We checked in at 2:30 am and wanted to get on the road at a decent hour.
On the down side, there were stains on the carpets. the linens were dated, knobby and the elastic worn out and the mattresses needed to be updated.

We had arrived on a very late ferry...4am and were greated by a friendly young lady at the front desk. She was courteous and efficient getting us checked in and to our room which I appreciated having two young children with me.

The room was comfortable and clean and unlike other reviews I have read it was equipped as suggested with high speed, coffee maker etc.

I have nothing negative to say about my stay and would definitely return there in the future.
