Firstly, when you offer a smoke free hotel, and then put buckets of sand at the doors for people to use to prop them open and then have a smoke next to that door, guess what happens! Smoke sucks into the hotel. The hallways hit us with it, and we had to switch rooms for the smell of it (and the second room was only better upon entry as it didn't reek as much as the hallway - it got worse). Turning down the beds found hair in the sheets and on the pillows. When we went to bathe the two year old, we had to actually wash the tub, as there was a film of dirt on it. So, not happy, but only minutes to the ferry, we settled in for a coffee. The coffee maker leaked a cup of water from the bottom, and when you tried to take out the filter, the whole assembly comes with. Come on! For $126 (and that's with CAA), one has some basic expectations. At least a continental breakfast (nope, breakfast is a little expensive). I can say that we liked the shower/soap dispenser in the shower - had not seen that before. And the shower head gave good pressure and settings. Our return trip will see us canceling our reservation.
