“Way too expensive - response”

I recently stayed in Collingwood at the Days Inn, beautiful room - two beds, roll out couch, fireplace, bar sink, fridge, coffee maker, and a hot breakfast and I paid only $164. for the night, in a resort town.

Mr. Patel how can you make the the stay better? First off - LOWER your price to reflect what you are offering. It appears there isn't enough competition but if you do have a passion for your business then you should be charging less, we don't have a dog and feel we shouldn't have to pay for the ones that do.

Second - offer a better continential breakfast, not hard to add scrambled eggs and sausage.

Third - really check your rooms after they are cleaned, mine was not clean, especially the toilet. The bedding was also questionable. I used a sleeping bag.

I appreciate the response but would need to think about whether I would give it another try.

“WAY TOO EXPENSIVE”

We have stayed at this Travelodge quite a number of times and were satisfied. This year the hotel was booked solid and we ended up in a room that backed onto the forest, needless to say there was no way we were opening the deck door, the bugs were unbelievable. We turned on the air conditioner and it smelled like mold. The lighting was poor and the toilet still had feces on the underside of the seat. We paid $189.00 PLUS TAX per night, I think they were taking advantage of a boat show and bike race that was on that weekend. As we were leaving we watched the owners clean the rooms, like they couldn't hire maids at that price??? Their 4 or 5 year old daughter was taking the mop and cleaning the curbs with it while they were inside cleaning the rooms - they then took that same mop in to clean the floors...unbelievable!!! Won't be back next year that is for sure!!!

“A Quaint Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

We went for a weekend trip to Bracebridge. This hotel was quaint. It has a swimming pool, and a great play area for kids if you bring them. There was a little patio off the deck. The room had a fridge and the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast.

“An excellent experience: great amenities, friendly welcome and pet friendly.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

Five star. We were welcomed and given an excellent rate, without reservations. The motel has great amenities - everything we needed. We really appreciated the microwave & fridge. Nice treed back yard view. We were most grateful that this is a pet friends motel. Although we don't always travel with our some dog, we always stay in pet friendly motels as we find them to be of a better class and category than those that are not pet friendly. Pet friends motels are generally clean, welcoming and just over-all nicer.

“Hospitality plus Home Like Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2011

I have been staying at the Travelodge for 11 years related to business travel. My work days are usually 12 - 13 hours long when in Bracebridge and it is great to be able to get back to the motel and relax. Rooms are clean and do have most of the amenities that a business traveller needs. They are equipped with desk, good lighting, fridge microvave coffee maker and room to spread out. The owners have been very busy doing renovations and it is making a big difference. New paint, carpeting, granite countertops have added to the homey atmosphere. New mattresses would be great but the current ones are somewhat comfortable. I did try the Sleep Inn in Bracebridge when it opened and it only took me one night to decide it was not for me. I would strongly recommend that the comfort is at the Travelodge. Thanks for another great stay.

Room Tip: Room with one bed at back of building are the best
