“Perfect for what I wanted”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Attended a swim meet for the weekend and stayed here. Front staff very helpful. The rooms are average but really clean. A tiny fridge under the sink. Sink is open to the room - toilet and shower together with a door. I found this difficult when I had to leave to help by 6:30am I couldn't get ready without waking up the others in my room. I wish the sink area was in the bathroom. Snowmobiles are around but I am use to them where I live - welcome to the north! - lol I got my room with Expedia and got a good price so I would suggest Hotel shopping because not everyone got the same price. Location is great walking distance to restaurant and grocery store. Really central so easy to get to anything in Bracebridge. Remember Bracebrige is a small town so this hotel fits. For what I needed I would stay again. Visit Bracebridge's downtown - one of the best anywhere I have been!

“Overpriced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Slim pickings in the town of Bracebridge. We were in town for a swim meet. Upon arrival our price went up by $20, lucky for me I had my conformation # on hand with the rate they quoted me. They had to honour it. Rooms r small, no water pressure in stand up shower. Lots and lots of snowmobilers stay at this hotel because the trail runs right in front of the hotel. They make lots of noise both inside and out of the hotel. Very hard to get sleep with the thin walls and music playing at 1 am. Wish there was somewhere nicer to stay in Bracebridge !!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a non-smoking room...believe it or not, this place still has smoking rooms ???

“This hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a pet friendly one”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

If you are looking to take your pet/s to Muskoka region this hotel is a good one. We had a 5-month old Lab puppy and it enjoyed the stay. The room was little smaller but you have have all the major amenities provided in the room including a small fridge and the stay was comfortable. I feel the stand-up shower provided in this hotel is the best option Vs tub (provided in most the hotels) for a quick shower . The hotel was clean and maintained well. The bed were arranged and done neatly. The only major problem we had was the overhead fluorescent lamps over the sink was not lighting properly and in spite of our personal complaint to the frontdesk staff it was not fixed in our two-day stay in the hotel. Had a tough time shaving my beard in the dim light. Wi-fi, TV and A/C worked well and glad to note there were multiple power sockets available to plug your gadgets.

Breakfast was very standard with muffins, bread, bagels and cereals but the dining area was small and the hotel should do something to increase that area and provide more chairs and tables.

The hotel is located in one corner of the busy strip plaza and people traveling from East have to enter through the Bracebridge Mall entrance via the strip plaza which we figured out after a day stay. Walking distance to Metro, Independent Supermarkets and you are close to Pizza Pizza, Swiss Chalet, Harveys and othe popular restaurants. For coffee lovers.Tim Horton is around the corner. A good place to take your pet/s for walking as the parking lot is big attached to the strip plaza.

“Better choices in Bracebridge”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

We booked this hotel as we were looking for pet friendly accommodation in cottage country on very short notice during the busiest weekend of the year. Of course, our selection was limited. usually, we would not book a Sleep Inn for a holiday stay like this, but again, we were under special circumstances. Also, we were on our motorbikes and wanted to be able to walk to town for dinners.
This facility is a very basic hotel, in the far end of the town of Bracebridge, with many closed up businesses in the vicinity.
Having said this, front desk staff was really welcoming and accommodating. They managed to provide us with a king-bed room, when we had booked a room with two double beds (all that was available at the time.) Very firendly.
Rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious. Good layout. All necessary amenities, very good. Shower needed servicing (there was almost no water pressure, and this became worse as our stay went on, though there was plenty of hot water and pressure from the sink.)
A/C, TV and wiFi worked well.
This hotel would be a good choice for a one-nighter, or if you are traveling with a team, or for business.
Breakfast was underwhleming, and not replenished fast enough (just about everything ran out especially during the busy weekend, and there was no staff present to help...)

Room Tip: If the room you want isn't available when you book, ask to be wait-listed for your preference at...
