We arrived this afternoon for an overnite stay.payment was 286.00 for the Georgian room with a Murphy bed. First after booking in the pass keys would not work. A trip back to the lobby corrected this problem. Back to the room and into the bathroom to wash up. Dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Decided to have a closer look at the room and noted the bed which was a Murphy bed had the top comforter pulled back slightly on the one side and the pillow up against the headboard.
Clearly this room had not been looked after as it should have been after the previous guest had left. Back to the lobby and spoke to desk clerk. Manager was not available till 7am Sunday morning. House cleaning attended and decided to do a complete cleaning of the room. ( thankyou) As someone who travels 40 to 50 days a year I have to say this is the first time I have stayed at a days inn. Very disappointing. On a more positive note the front desk just called and told me they would be reducing the rate to 199.00 plus tax for the nite. Thank you, but first impressions are everything in the hospitality industry. And a Murphy bed in a room this size????? And yes it is quite hard.
