We went for a night for a sales presentation for pointshare - I was aware of the traps of timeshares but I also know some people that are using this type of travel on a regular basis, and are very happy with the arrangements.
Personnaly I think this is a good option for people with lots of vacation time and without many responsabilities(empty nesters) and a very bad option for all others. Anyhow we gave it a try - we took a trial from them - I'll let you know after I get to use it.
The location is very good if you are into winter sports - 5 min drive to the Blue Mountain slopes - one of my favourite places in Ontario.
People were friendly and helpful with us.
The food in the resaurant is very good but very expensive - and they also include the tip on the bill - which is confusing and pushy - but the staff was very nice. Next time we'll eat in the village.
The room was clean and average, but the beds are hard as rocks - and the heating was noisy.
I'd like to take advantage of the points and go there for a week - (my daughter is into snowboarding) - but I doubt there will be anything available during March break - we'll see.
The offer that we've got is advantageous only if we book within 30 days. - otherwise if you use points or pay cash is the same price even more expensive with points. So beware - for this deal to work - you need lots of time and flexibility otherwise it's waste of money.
Overall - average hotel - but very well placed.
