We arrived early,we were checked in promptly.staff were friendly and very helpful with getting us settled in -- check in, dinner reservation, tour appointment. Dinner was very good, service was excellent.Am tour was with Chris,he was low key,well informed and did not pressure us to buy, Our room in the hotel where we stayed was clean an A typical hotel room clean ,neat and satisfactory. The time share/vacation club suites ( we saw 2) were beautifully appointed with high end finishes in all rooms bedrooms/ living area and kitchens. I and my husband will highly recommend this vacation club to our extended family and friends. Pat and Willie H.

We stayed at the Georgian Manor 80 in 2000 and most recently the 125 units for the week of New Years. Both trips were townhouses on the Georgian Manor property but not actually GM properties. These are Shore to Slope properties yet trade under GM names.
We love the location, and love the townhome. Decent size LR and sitting area by fireplace that actually we split into 2 living areas by turning the large chairs towards the fire for reading, leaving the boys to the TV set for games and DVDs. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dishware and a large harvest table in the dining area. W/D in both the 80 and 125 units now and a downstairs half-bath, very helpful. Lots of closets for winter coats and gear.
Upstairs is an open landing, also for reading, games, or an extra sleeping space if needed. One bedroom with twin beds and full bath off the hall, then another short flight of stairs to a master bedroom with 2 closets and ensuite bath. The bed in the master could be upgraded to a king, there is room.
The upstairs was not as updated as the downstairs but clean and very functional. We did find a hinge that gave way in one cabinet, called maintenance at S-S and they came the next day to repair. The one sign of aging was the squeaking floorboards but they didn't really bother anyone.
The wireless internet was not great but we did still manage to use it daily.
We were there during a snow storm and they were fabulous about plowing the drive and shoveled the steps, daily!
Although others have written about the townhomes lacking the glitz of some timeshares today, we were most disappointed in the main Manor. The check-in staff were very 'blah' about greeting us and treated us poorly when we asked a question about our condo..."oh you're not really GM, you are S-S, you will have to call them, we only check you in", with eye rolling. we did not appreciate the attitude. And, no "GM does not get your trash, S-S need to carry it around a full block (use your car in winter) to take to dumpster".
The pool at the Manor building is awful! I have not been in the summer to even see where the outdoor one is but the inside one is the same as in 2000 (soon to be updated.....???) and such an afterthought it is an embaressment. Small, noisy, lacking decor or any kind, with a hot tub add-on room at the back that doesn't ventilate so they have a noisy fan running all the time. We are pool/hottub people and we only went once....not worth it.
We love the S-S townhomes even with the squeaky floors and would visit again. The front desk at the Manor rude and sorry they represent S-S, we just won't expect much from them in the future.

My wife and I travel a lot and plan to retire in the Collingwood area. We were offered a weekend stay at the Manor as part of a time share promo and thought it would be a good opportunity to see other resorts as friends have a place in Cranberry.
We arrived Friday night at 8:30 and checked in for 3 night over New Years. At first glance the pool is area is old small, there is no elevator that we could find so we dragged our bags up the stairs. The room was nothing short of a shock. The we're two queen beds and both had foam on the matteress to fill in the sag in the middle. The comforter was old and frayed around the edge. This was not even close to the room they had advertised in the promotion. When we called the front desk the girl was short and almost rude when we ask if there was a possibility of an up grade, saying because we checked in to late there were no rooms available. So if I understand this correctly they book on a first come first serve bassis regardless of reservation type.
We did not stay, we grabbed our bags and stayed at the Days Inn down the road. We called them back the next day and again were treated rudely when we asked to speak to a manager or customer service rep from the promotional group, saying it was our choice to leave. We left because the room should have been rented by the hour and not used as an example of what the Manor had to offer. We will be staying at our friends place for New Years.

We arrived at the Georgian Manor Resort and Country Club on Friday December 9th around 5pm in the evening. We were greeted by a receptionist that swiped our credit card for the deposit and handed over a folder with information inside. That was the extent of our interaction, she was put off that we did not know where to find our unit and proceeded to give us directions. Once arriving in our unit we always do the "walk through" prior to unpacking the car to see what we get to enjoy for the week. This time however, enjoy was not the word I would use... We wanted to get back in the car and drive far away.

The unit, townhouse number 46, greeted us with the STRONG odor of curry that made both my Husband and I gasp. This was simply rectified with an entire bottle of Febreze, which we should not have had to take care of ourselves. Once in the unit we saw many things that that were not up to the RCI (Our timeshare company) standard that we have been accustomed to. The following list is what was discovered throughout the following 5 days:

1. The first floor toilet will only flush on the third time.
2. ALL dish ware (plates, bowls, mugs, wine glasses, glasses, silverware and knife block) were mixed and matched. It appeared that the resort had taken all of the odds and ends from various other units and thrown them all together here.
3. Multiple coffee mugs still had lipstick marks on the outside rim.
4. There was still rancid water in the teakettle that had not been emptied following the last guest.
5. The carpets were extremely warn and stained in multiple places.
6. We were told on the website that there was access to wireless Internet. We came to find out that this was only in the lobby of the resort which was in a separate building as our townhouse - false advertising.
7. The master bathroom had mold in the tile in the tub surround.
8. The white shower curtains in the master bath and second bath were yellow stained, who knows when they were changed last.
9. The bed linens in both bedrooms were extremely worn and dated.
10. All the televisions in the unit (3 total) were on the brink of malfunctioning. All hissed when adjusting the volume and all had color / picture problems with lines floating through the screens.
11. The second bathroom wood floor molding was rotting terribly.
12. A Kitchen cabinet door was falling of the hinges.
13. Food was baked on the oven racks, which had not been cleaned in who knows how long. When we attempted to use the oven the first evening this smoked out the entire kitchen.
14. To go along with the smoke... Not one smoke detector in the ENTIRE unit.
15. The washer and dryer were so used and dated that none of the dials had directions on them any longer. It took the dryer three 80 minute cycles to dry a small load of whites.
16. The ceiling in the kitchen had a water stain and was peeling pain and drywall.
17. There were two microwaves in the unit with no direction as to why and if one was no longer functioning. It turned out the one we attempted to use first was the broken one.
18. The lamp shade on the first floor was broken.
19. The first floor was not vacuumed after the last guest, there were rubber bands all over the floor and under the coffee table.
20. Last but not least... The resort had two stickers in both the fitness center area and the same on the front door to the resort that stated "RCI Gold Crown Resort Rated 1994" and "RCI Gold Crown Resort Rated 1995". Do the math, that was 17 YEARS ago.

The Georgian Manor Resort and Country Club's resort website claims that all units have undergone upgrades and / or construction in the last year... When we arrived, the print material we received stated that ONLY the Hotel had received these renovations NOT the townhouses, again false advertising. The photos that are on the Georgian Manor Resort and Country Club's website depict a clean, modern space. This was NOT what we experienced, again false advertising.

In the end my Husband and I left a few days early because the though of sitting on our own couch back at home was more appealing than staying here.
