Arrived at The holiday inn A few minutes before check-in 3:00pm. Check-in was pretty fast and was given a room on the second floor. When we went to our room the room was not cleaned and the beds were not done up. Returned to front desk and was told that house keeping was behind as someone called in sick that morning and that they were also very busy the night before and that the room would be cleaned and ready within 30 minutes so we left and came back after 30 minutes and the room was still not ready and was told it would be another 30 minutes so we stood in the lobby with out luggage for another 30 minutes and still no room. After complaining to front desk and requesting another room I was told that no other rooms were available as they were all booked up and they looked annoyed as to the fact that they already explained they were behind in cleaning the rooms and did not understand why we could not understand that. At that point I got upset and told them this was the worst service I have ever received at any holiday inn I have stayed at and if they could not find a room ASAP that we would take our business elsewhere. Within a few minutes another room was found that had already been cleaned and so we were switched to the new room. Not sure why we were not given the cleaned room in the first place so we did not have to waist over an hour standing around. The new room was clean, Breakfast was great and the pool was also clean and enjoyable. I am a priority club member so we do choose the Holiday inn when ever possible when travelling but not sure if I would ever return here unless something is done in regards to better customer service. It is a shame because the quality of the hotel and its location is very good.
