If you are not really chosy, then it is an excellent choice compared to the price. Rooms are clean, not too big though.
Best part is the management; it is more like a home environment, staff is always ready to make your staying as comfortable as they can.
I stayed twice at Relax Inn this year, three days in July and one night for Thanksgiving with my wife and two kids. The owners are great people. The inn is very reasonably priced and situated halfway between the Blue Mountain Resort and Wasaga Beach. Internet connection was great, we could eat in the built-in kitchen, air-conditioning worked fine and it was very safe. You get excellent value for your money.
The staff at the Relax Inn were nice. We stayed here after 6 nights camping so we were happy to have a shower and a bed.
The room was run down but functional. It was laid out in 3 small rooms - bedroom, bathroom and eat-in kitchen. The sheets on the bed were old and had cigarette holes in them. It actually had a microwave, sink and fridge which surprised me.
The hotel is a long way from anywhere. There's nothing within walking distance.
The Pleasant Manor Motel is just down the road that looked nicer in a similar price range.
The Relax Inn reminded me of places I stayed in when I was a kid-- Mom and Pop ownership, frayed at the edges but clean, bug free, and the beds despite being hard were surprisingly comfortable. Owners were very friendly and accomodating. The wireless, when it worked was fast, but faded in and out, and there were times when no internet connection was available. Came with fridge, stove, microwave, radio alarm, and cable. Room air conditioner worked fine. Bathroom small; owner must have listened to previous reviewer as the towels were fluffy. On the down side, the electric outlets were a little suspect--solid on the studs but at strange angles. Given the price of other motels in the area, I would easily stay here again.
