My friend and I wanted to try out some awesome winter activities in Algonquin and Muskoka, and wanted to stay somewhere nearby. It was the perfect distance from everything, and really accessible to Algonquin Park.

We spent two nights in a double Queen room on the first floor. Even though there was a hockey tournament in town, and the hotel was packed, it wasn't too noisy.

We LOVED the continental breakfast, because you get to make your own waffles in the Waffle maker!! Delicious.

This is really a great place to stay , I went there at night time it was late check-in but staff is really co-operative and location is farely close to algoinquin park, if you plan to go some where near Huntsville then u cant get anything best then this comparing all aspects.

Came up from the city for one night looking to enjoy some fresh air, pretty fall colours, and a good night's sleep. Enjoyed the location - lovely walk along the Avery Beach Trail into downtown Huntsville and close to delicious Westside Fish & Chips. However, my good sleep was interrupted at 4:30 a.m. by a piercing fire alarm. I stumbled around in panic in the dark for what seemed like 20 seconds until it subsided. I was so shaken, I oouldn't get back to sleep, which ruined my energy & plans for the day. When I enquired at the front desk about the alarm, the clerk denied that it had gone off and made me feel like I was making the whole thing up. Too bad - Iiked the spot, but won't return now. Checking in was a bit strange: the lobby was empty and I had to use a phone to dial the front-desk. Somebody came out of the guesthouse on the parking lot and checked us in.

We had to take the stairs up one level (there is no elevator). No problem for us, but elder people or people that are not able to do so, should ask for a room on groundlevel.

The rooms were brandnew: new carpet, freshpaint, new windows, new bathroom. Spotless. And the rate was great (we paid less than $100 including taxes).

Coveniently located: close to the highway, next to a great lake and a minutes drive from the historical center with some nice shoppes and restaurants.

Would stay again and will surely recommend!
