We booked a room for 2 nites using a 'discount' coupon which included a bottle of wine and breakfast. Our room faced the parking lot, although for $30/nite extra we could have had a room facing the lake. Bathroom was needing a make-over...two double beds, both needed to be replaced. Nice balcony to sit out on, but noisy with the buses offloading below. Breakfast was quite nice as was the view from the diningroom. Staff very pleasant.

Hidden Valley resort hotel was a good place from which to see the beautiful autumn colours. The accommodation was clean and the indoor and outdoor pools were well cared for. The accommodation was average. It was disappointing that having booked the accommodation online, we had been assigned to dark, lower rooms automatically. There was to be an additional cost to having a room with a view, but this was waved by the desk clerk, and the room and balcony were fine. Breakfast was not included in our stay, which was disappointing, since it is a long drive to Huntsville from the resort. Every room has a small fridge which is helpful for drinks and snacks. The resort was quiet and peaceful.

Stayed at the resort as a last minute weekend away. The rooms were fine, although dated. Housekeeping was overworked and the room was not made up until late in the day. Breakfast was better than expected. We ate Dinner at Deerhurst Resort; short walk down the road. Overall Okay!

We booked a non-smoking room with two Queen beds for a two-night family stopover. We got a good price on the room, so were not unhappy with our parking lot view or the somewhat tired-looking lobby furniture. Staff were pleasant and helpful, though we grew weary of needing to get our card keys reactiviated every single time we wanted to get back into our room. The setting is lovely, the views are wonderful, the private beach and two pools (outdoor chlorinated, indoor salt-water) and other amenties very promising. One guest dominated the single lobby computer with internet access, something staff should have dealt with so diplomatically that others would not have noticed. We did not try the dining room as it did not seem particularly appealing. Overall, I would return, assuming I could get a good rate on the dates I needed.
