My wife and I were in the Owen Sound area for a round of golf. We were looking for a clean reasonably priced place to stay. Once again Tripadvisor pointed us in the right direction.

The Owen Sound Inn has clean we appointed rooms, friendly people to great you at the front desk and give you a quick lesson on the area complete with map. The daughter went over area attractions restaurants etc. with my wife while the owner checked me in. We arrived before the posted 2PM check in so he walked to the room to make sure it was ready for us. We were in our room ten minutes after we got to the motel.

Our room faced the road but noise was not an issue. We had a sliding door to the parking lot which was nice for unloading and loading the car. All rooms are accessible via inside hallway.

We had a King bed (maybe a little hard by some peoples standards, perfect for us) very comfortable, nice linens and pillows. The carpet seemed new the furnishing clean and in good condition and a flat screen TV with good reception and about 60 channels.
Standard bath and shower, again clean and plenty of the standard white towels.

This is an older motel to be sure but it is well looked after, clean and conveniently located.
They have a basic breakfast of muffins, bagels, toast, etc. Coffee was fresh brewed and hot.

All and all a nice place to stay if you are looking for an affordable, clean room for the night.

I’ve been to Owen Sound a few years back on business, and decided to come this summer for a visit with my family. We usually stay at a more expensive hotel, but a family friend of ours suggested that we try staying at the Owen Sound Inn. They said the rooms are just as big, and just as clean, with much better prices. I am so glad I took her advice! Everything was clean, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast was great! They had lots of variety. The customer service was the best. The owner’s daughter, Saba, did such a wonderful job at helping us with all of our questions. She took the time to give us ideas on the nearby activities, best places to eat, and even took 15 mins to properly explain directions. She also showed us a couple rooms, and let us decide which room we liked the best to stay in. This place is run by a family, and they do an exceptional job in making you feel at home. Even my wife and daughters loved staying here, and we will definitely be coming back!

We stayed at the owen sound inn and found it to be very clean. the manager went out of his way to help us with info that we needed.the staf were very friendly and helpful. l would recommend staying at this hotel, the rates were reasonable also. we will definitely return. trev and julie

I booked this hotel back in April with my credit card as a deposit for the sum of $70 plus taxes--I received a very rude call from the owner's assistant a couple weeks ago telling me that he had made a mistake in the pricing and they could give me a reduced rate of $99 which I refused as I reminded him that this reservation was a binding contract--then the manager(owner) called and told me emphatically and VERY rudely that I could only have one person in my room--I told him that I was travelling alone--I arrive at the hotel on a Saturday evening and I'm told my room has been cancelled because my credit has been rejected--not so!! Other area-hotelowners have heard the same stories from this guy--stay away!!!
