Although dated and tired, this hotel is certainly not the worst I have stayed in. The front desk staff was friendly. The curtains and carpet sure could use an update. The exterior of the building makes this hotel a bit dumpy. They have removed all the balconies but have yet to finish the exposed areas left by the balconies.

Stayed for one week end of August 2011. Nice pool and hot tub, rooms are average a little dated but fine. This issue was the air conditioning broke, had to complain three days before being offered to move to another room. Always late getting towels to room, had to call many times on two different days. Was then told one of the dryers were broke. Big rain storm and roof leaked out side room door were many buckets collecting water. Could be nice little hotel if upgrades were completed. Some staff were great and friendly one young lady was short and a little rude. Also note: For business people, you can only upload 1 MB files. You have to call I-hotel to get them to relase so you can upload larger files to your computer. Wireless internet is scketchy at best.

Stayed here with family to attend a graduation. One of are family member was involved in an accident the staff was very compassionate with us. The staff here makes this business succeed. Thank you to a wonderful staff for being so compassionate

When I first got to the hotel, I was given the room of my preference. So far so good. I went to the non-spoking room just to find that someone had smoked in it recently as it smelled and there was also a very damp musty smell coming from the bathroom, too. I went back to the front desk and was given another room immediately that was to my satisfaction. I tried for almost an hour trying to figure out why my connection to the internet was so limited. A call back to the front desk and my internet to the room was boosted. Okay......right!

Next morning I was awakened nice and early with children running up and down the halls. Great place for kids as they have a pool. Not so great if you are on the same floor. Okay so I return to find that the housekeeping staff never cleaned my room that day or even bothered to make the bed. Crap happens,right! So then, my only bra strap breaks and I need a needle and thread, desperately. So I go to the front desk to find one guy working and talking on the phone with guests waiting to get towels, etc. I was waiting to ask for a needle and thread. Nope front desk is all out! Okay a 48 year old woman with no bra...not pretty. So then I decided to jump on the internet. No chance again. I call the front desk and ask the guy to please boost the internet. He doesn't know how to do it. So now I am writing this review and using the wifi from my cellular.

I expect better service than what I received today. I would only stay here again if there was no other availability at any other hotel in Owen Sound. Also todays room was $20 more than yesterdays with $20 less in service. Not great for a CAA rated hotel.
