We spent three nights here, ands found our room beautifully furnished and scrupulously clean. It was a standard simple motel unit but the owner had put a lot of hard work into making it homely and attractive. It's on the northerly main road into Parrry Sound but the sound insulation was excellent and we heard no passing traffic. We did, however, hear the hooting of the CN (or CP?) freight trains passing about 300 yards away every hour thru the night!
Hair driers (or 'blowers') weren't provided in the rooms but the owner kindly provided one when asked.
An adequate breakfast of home-baked muffins, juice and coffee was included in the price.
The accomodation wasn't cheap. Due to a mix-up on the phone when booking, we understood it to be $109.00 per night including tax, which seemed fairly reasonable, and the quality of the room was better than average, but when we checked out, we were told that tax wasn't included, which boosted the price to $122 per night, which we felt was excessive, as we could have stayed at a Travelodge or Comfort Inn for less.
It's a nice place to stay, but be sure to establish the true cost in advance. The person who took our telephone booking wasn't the owner, and mistakes happen.
