Checked in for Hockey Tournament, it's a non refundable hotel so if you don't make it to the championship you are out the money for the room for the 2nd night. As soon as the kids converged on the pool they dumped chemicals in to the point the kids eyes were burning. There is construction going on but they didn't bother to mention this when we booked the rooms.
Clean which is good, attached restaurant is closed until further notice, the lobby is all ripped up.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel after your recent stay with us. We are very excited about the new lobby we are building for the hotel. Unfotunately it is a work in progress and progress is moving slowly. However, the final product is going to be spectacular. We know full well that the front of the hotel does not look appealing at this time - it is exactly as you describe it - all ripped up. We are sorry that our renovations had a negative impact on your stay. We are also working on getting our restaurant re-opened very soon. Being completely honest, our tenant unfortunately abandoned his business with no advanced notice to us. We have all been caught off guard by this unfortunate event. We hope to have it re-opened shortly after the new year. I am very pleased to hear that the cleanliness of your room and the hotel in general met with your approval. Thank you once again for taking the time to review our hotel and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Clean, great pool and fitness centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

Stayed for a weekend with husband and teenage daughters. Previous reviews were accurate, looks old from outside but completely updated inside. Bathroom updated, tile, fixtures. Tons of hot water. Spacious breakfast room, cold cereal, breads, coffee, juice. Attendant kept it clean and refilled as needed. Pool salt water, bit heavy with chemicals, but super warm. Gym was large, tons of equipment. Each employee we dealt with was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Will definitely stay here again for future visits to the area.

“Great Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2010

Had a pleasant stay just before Christmas. We can't say enough about the service we received from check in to leaving. The staff was very friendly and the rooms very clean. Very nice restaurant in the hotel and many restaurants located conveniently nearby. We enjoyed the steam and sauna in the pool area. We didn't venture out to view the fitness centre. The outside of the hotel looks outdated, but the interior is very updated. Don't pass this one by, I think you wil be pleasantly surprised!

“No Complaints”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2009

We found the hotel more than adequate!! The kids LOVED the pool, my husband LOVED the gym and we all enjoyed the free continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The only recommendation I offer this hotel is to update the exterior, otherwise everything else was a pleasant surprise! What more can you ask for....?
