I (like another person who rated this establishment) did not actually stay here. I spoke to an associate enquiring on blocking rooms for a group this coming summer. I spoke to one associate in December who was very friendly and helpful. She helped me all she could and then told me she would have the manager call me to 'finish the booking'. I was blocking off 15 rooms for a week. The manager did not return my call a week later , so I called back and left another message for him (2nd time). Another week went by, so I called again (3rd time) and left (yet) another message. I called back two days later (4th time) and asked for the manager ( he was expected to be in). I was told he was not in by a male associate who sounded like I was interrupting his nap (very unenthused and lethargic). Every person up to this point has listened to my situation and had told me that they were not authorized to block off the rooms, I had to do it directly with the manager. I explained to the male associate who answered that this is my fourth time in 3 weeks calling to book my rooms. I explained that at this point I was feeling frustrated and like I was chasing them around trying to book 15 rooms. He was extremely rude, defensive, abrupt and impolite. A simple "I'm sorry that no one has called you back" would have sufficed. However instead of acting appropriately he choose to act rude, condescending and then HUNG UP!

I am not happy that 1) the manager has ignored my messages regarding booking 15 rooms for 3 weeks now and 2) the man I spoke to on the phone was the rudest "customer service" associate I have ever dealt with and he topped it off by hanging up.

Extremely disappointed, and I will not be recommending this establishment to any of my friends and family!

I dont like writting bad reviews but sometimes its a must if you want things to change right?! The hotel is well located, I mean smith falls is a cute tinny place. The hotel itself is boring to look at..no frills, no nothing on the outside, just very plain. The inside is dated, a very out of date green everywhere, but clean. Got inside the hotel and waited about 5minutes for someone to come and greet us. I was wondering if anyone was there, finally the lady came out of nowhere..She was nice, hooked us up with info, keys and off we went to our room. Our room was the first one beside the door sd floor, DO NOT TAKE ROOM 200, we hurd every person that went throught that door, their conversations, kids running, slamming the door..u name it! It felt like the walls were made out of paper. Once we opened the door to our room, the odor that came to us was horrible! It smelt like dirty feet everywhere! I ran down to the front desk and asked for a perfum of some sort, air freshener just anything. She mentionned to me that it was a family with kids and hockey bags. The smell was so bad. Anyway, got some of the smell out, I was able to live with that! The room is a good size, clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom seemed updated, missing paint but in all was ok. Breakfast was very good, I was actually very surprised of all the things they had to offer. For one night it was ok. I would only recommend this hotel if their is nothing else left around..sorry

I stayed 3 nights at 89.99 a night CDN. The rooms were suprisingly clean - more so than many other high end hotels i have stayed in. Yes, they do not have an indoor pool or a fitness room (only outdoor pool), however it is in a good area of town with everything you need across and down the road (Walmart, Tim Hortons, Harveys, Swiss Chalet, Dairy Queen,Grocery Store, Canadian Tire, Subway, Mac's Beer & LCBO and more) - what else do you need. Their "Continental" breakfast is the best I have seen in any hotel I have been to (and that is quite a few!). They had 4 types cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, toast, english muffins, muffins, cookies, a waffle machine, and fruit. They had juices, milk, coffee and tea - I was actually impressed (for being a small hotel). Staff were friendly and the place was quiet. If I ever go back to Smiths Falls (which I doubt I ever will) I will definately be staying here. ***Don't stay at the Comfort Inn in town - a co-worker told me some horror stories....

We stopped here for one night here at the end of a trip to Québec, picking a city where we hadn’t been before.
This is a small hotel (maybe 40 rooms, not boutique) and the owners do a great work keeping it at higher standards. We had a king room; the furniture is rather sparse but we didn’t need/want more.
The location is good, easy to walk to the city or nearby shops, with a couple of restaurants very close.
If you plan to stop in the area, give it a try.
