Went to Canmore for a girls night and booked the suite at The Drake. Have never stayed in any other room there, can't beat the suite for the price.

Pretty basic but it's so nice to have a kitchen and so much seating when you go with a small group. Bathroom needs a bit of work and it's a weird set up with the sink outside the door but it's fine. Two queen beds that are fine for a night or 2 but I'd not want to stay for a long trip, a little hard. Bed sheets are nice but pillows could be better quality. Had dinner and drinks at the Drake Pub which is attached and had great fun, the entertainment was top notch this weekend! Staff is fantastic, amazing views, will always be our go to spot in Canmore!

We live in Calgary and often need to get out of town and the Drake is where we like to go best of all. Its perfectly located in Canmore with a great view, we can take the dog and go out all around on long walks with spectacular scenery. Its the perfect weekend getaway with pretty good prices for rooms. We personally enjoy the Creekside rooms the best because we like to go out onto the balcony and enjoy the view over the Creek with the birds and ducks. There is also a restaurant in the pub side of this hotel which is quite convenient. We now know all the staff as we have been going to the Drake Inn for many years now and will continue to do so. We go about every six weeks, our last trip was December 2nd weekend. Two nights are always better than one because then you get the full day.

The Drake Inn is a basic, and perfectly acceptable hotel in a great location. It has amazing views of the mountains, was very quiet, had a great pub with good food, and best of all, the service was excellent. It was very, very cold my first night there and, when asked, they provided me with an extension cord so I could plug in my car. I had asked for a quiet room and they gave me one that was close to Policeman's Creek at the end of the building so noise was not an issue in any way. I would happily stay at this Inn next time I visit Canmore.

The hotel was pretty standard. You get what you pay for. Good location - downtown and walking distance to restaurants.
