The chateaus sleep 6 people (or more), with a double bed upstairs in a loft, a sleep sofa in the living room, a separate bedroom downstairs, and a Murphy bed in the mud room. There is a nice big deck off the living room. The bathrooms are adequate, as is the kitchen. The indoor pool is good sized & there is a hot tub next to it. The outdoor hot tub had been closed by the health department!!! The shower room was adequate. The lodge was large with a basement for ping pong, pool, etc. There were tables & chairs upstairs for card games or just lounging. The big problem was the overall shabbiness of the unit (dining room table that needed to be refinished, pieces missing from the bathroom counter top, etc. There was not enough silverware for more than 3 people. There were no table linens. The location is a 15 minute drive into Canmore & a half hour to Banff, so the name is misleading. There is nothing in Dead Man's Flat (where the resort actually is) besides 2 gas stations. The "restaurant" & "grocery" are just part of one of the gas stations. For a real grocery store or good restaurants, you must drive into Canmore. Outside of the distance to a real town, the location is beautiful, with mountains all around, so I would recommend it for that, the indoor pool, and having your own cooking facilities. Internet service was sporadic.
