“Most relaxing accomodation yet!”

We stayed here in two different rooms, as our daughter was with us one night and we then changed to a smaller room. This inn is truly a charming, clean, calming place to stay in the Canmore/Banff area. I found that I felt the most relaxed that I have ever felt in a hotel. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The other guests were all kind and respectful. The rooms are delightful. We will definitely try to return in the future.

“Nice place, but is NOT pet friendly- made us feel unwelcome with our dogs”

Very cute, charming b&B style hotel- loved the look of it from the outside, and the location next to the cougar creek canyon was lovely. The room was adequate, clean, and had a nice view, although the fridge was very small and froze most of our veggies. We had phoned in advance to confirm thier pet friendly policies, and so were suprised at the long list of rules we had to sign upon arrival. We do our best to be unobtrusive guests, and have very well behaved dogs, but we felt very anxious all weekend that we would be evicted for breaking some of thier less friendly rules...ie: dogs are not allowed to bark. Our dogs aren't yippy, but all dogs bark sometimes- especially when someone is making lots of noise in the hallway. Some of the other less than pet-friendly rules included that dogs were not allowed to be left unattended in the room for any length of time, even if crated. this made eating very difficult. I was also dissapointed that for a place that advertises itself as a b&B, breakfast was a brief (8am-9am) contiential similar to a super 8. i've had more selection for breakfast at large chain hotels. The 1 hour window made it difficult for us, as we had to try and eat in shifts, because we couldn't bring our dogs down, and we couldn't leave them in the room. Our romantic vacation was definitely disturbed as we did our best to avoid being evicted- with no refund- if pets aren't welcome, they shouldn't advertise as pet friendly.

“Really, really good - one of our top ten for sure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

Creekside is one of those places that feel right as you open the front door - and it gets better all the time. It is an oasis of peace and quiet and beauty, situated away from the hustle and bustle of down-town Canmore, with stunning views and hikes right on the doorstep. We loved the way it is so unpretentious yet so tastefully presented - definitely a place to go back to! We booked one of the pet-friendly loft rooms and it was perfect - spacious, comfortable and it had everything we needed. Breakfast was great - basic but with lots to choose from, including freshly baked muffins! We're looking forward to our next visit - soon!

“The perfect locale for exploring Banff”

We stayed in their family suite for 3 nights, with my 12-year-old sleeping in the alcove bed off the living room (he compared it to Harry Potter's bed under the stairs and loved his nook), my 20-year-old daughter having her own spacious room and my husband and me the other bedroom. A shared living room with TV in the centre of it all. A terrific continental breakfast available each morning - cereal, lots of fresh fruit and yogurt, muffins, bagels, English muffins and lovely blueberry scones, a family favourite. Nice and close to Banff but less crowded and costly to stay in. Plus, we stayed in Canmore one morning and hiked the beautiful Grassi Lakes trail - just gorgeous and the right amount of challenge for an urban family that doesn't hike that much. (Our advice - take the difficult trail on the way up for the sites and take the easy way back.) We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This place is a gem. Located in Canmore which is delightful, less flashy but just as beautiful alternative to banff.
Hosts are lovely, and the place is sunny, spacious and light. Decorations are simple, allowing enjoyment of the superb mountain views.

Breakfast is homecooked and delicious.
