Super helpful couple running this historic B&B. Excellent food, furnishings and many little touches (chocolates, home baked treats, game boards, complimentary tea/coffee) to make the stay memborable. Highly recommend.

Loved the Lady Macdonald Country Inn. I was there with my five year old son for a few days. I chose this bed and breakfast because of the convenient location to the national park, as well as the reasonable price. I thought I was choosing a "budget" option because of the price. However, I discovered upon arrival that we had found a true gem. The host and hostess were incredibly warm and hospitable, offering great advice on local restaurants, hiking, etc. The room was very comfortable with a fireplace and a jetted tub, and the breakfast in the morning was unbelieveable. There is a lovely sitting room with delicious pastries, coffees and teas that are available all day long, and there is music and a fire going which makes for a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I consider myself something of a "foodie" and was delighted to try several new things I'd never had before. Their lemon sour cream pancakes were the best pancakes I've ever had, and in fact every day I found myself asking for their recipes. They went out of their way every day to do a little something extra to make my little boy happy, which I appreciated. He is not a picky eater and we both were just thrilled with the breakfast presentations each day. I would highly recommend this

My sister and I went on a hiking trip to Banff and Jasper...we'd never been, and had no idea where to stay.
With all the hotels booked in Banff we were turned on to Canmore. Canmore ended up being was great, much more mellow and interesting to me that Banff (which was beatiful, but I am glad we didn't stay there)--it's pretty overrun with tourists and tourist activities.

The Lady MacDonald Inn was great, Peter, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful with our endless questions. They serve a nice breakfast with homemade treats out all day. The rooms are large and very comfortable. We had just planned to stay a couple nights and then stay somewhere else on our way out and opted to come back because we liked it so much. A very personable and sweet place to stay--I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

We went for our anniversary with our infant son and it was great. The owners wetre accomidating and very friendly. The breakfast that was served to us was amazing!!! I have never had such a great breakfast before! The room was nice and cozy with a fireplace. I couldn't of asked for better!!!
