We have stayed here many many times, and never tire of the feeling of "family". The hosts are charming and helpful, rooms are always immaculate, and we are always made to feel like long lost relatives. We wouldnt dream of staying elsewhere! The view from the rooms is second to none, we will be back many many times in the future for certain! Thank you for the wonderful get a way!

“Home town visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

The room we stayed in was a ground level room, the view was beautiful, especially seeing the snow on the mountain tops. The Housekeeping staff was very pleasant and our was very clean. When we checked in and out the staff were very pleasant. We would recomend the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge to everyone.

Room Tip: Having a suite with a Kitchenette was nice and having patio doors to beable to sit out side was nice...

“OK place to stay, plain but comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We stayed here 2 nights with 1 night break in between as we were on a 2 day horse trek in the back country. Clean and quiet with nice rooms, budget level but no issues. The town and restaurants were nearby and the town is quite lovely but I guess many people just race past on their way to Calgary or Banff. Very nice area.

“Great value, clean, friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

The room was immaculate. It smelled fresh and clean. We had a coffee maker and microwave. The location was not far from Banff and Canmore is a "home-like" town where as Banff is, expensive and totally geared to making money.
The view from right in front of our room was spectacular. We will go back here.

“Hope this place stays around for a while”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

Although this is an older hotel it's good to see that it's kept up well. We stayed in the one bedroom kitchen unit and it was in great condition. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could think of - toaster, coffee maker, utensils, dishes, cups, even a dish rag and dish soap. I'm cheap so it was great to be able to eat our own breakfast and prepare our lunches for day trips around Banff.

The playground and barbeque grills were also in great condition and in use during our stay. When I smelled the food someone was cooking on the grill and saw my kids and others playing on the playground it made me feel lucky I'd chosen to stay there. We ate dinner outside our 1st floor room on a picnic table in the middle of the grass and enjoyed the scenery, including some squirrels who peeked out from under the patio and squeaked at us.

Regarding another post about carpet smell and noise: our room seemed okay - everything was clean and didn't smell (to me.) There was a kind of creaking sound, maybe from an a/c unit or something, but nothing too bad. I always bring earplugs wherever I sleep, anyway. I was worried about noise as we were on the 1st floor, but surprisingly it was not that bad. Again this was in the one bedroom + kitchen units closest to the road, maybe other units are noisier.

Friendly service, clean, well-kept rooms and facilities at a decent price. This is the kind of place I hope stays around for a long time.
